Chateau Pines is a wonderful place to stay in the Tahoe City area. The neighborhood is peaceful and relaxing, with no road noise from CA 89. The cabin had everything you need. The hot tub is the star on the deck, so easy to use and relax often. The outdoor grill is immaculate. We went to the Friday farmers market in Tahoe City, and loaded up on fresh produce and seafood from Little Fish. We used the grill often for cooking all the fresh food. The lakefront association access was so convenient for paddle boarding. One of us brought an inflatable board, and paddled twice using the association dock, and twice down at Fallen Leaf Lake. Easily able to clean the board after use. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment, and we had everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer was great for a weeklong stay. The deck space is delightful. We enjoyed eating and reading outside. While we did not use the fireplace in August, it looks great, and would make the living room warm and cozy when chillier.
Nancy our host was so helpful before and during our stay. She gave us lots of advice about the paddle boarding locations.
I can’t say enough about the great location - very mellow.
I would recommend Chateau Pines to family and friends who are heading to Lake Those!
