5 Bedrooms & 4 Baths - (Sleeps 13)

Serendipity by the Sea is located right in the heart of Surfside Beach. PARKING IS NOT AN ISSUE. We are a short walk - 2 blocks - from the beach and the new Surfside Pier. Restaurants and nightlife is walking distance. We are right around the corner from the library, playground, basketball & tennis courts. Surfside Beach is the family beach - south of the Grand Strand & Myrtle Beach (only 6 miles south of Myrtle Beach Airport).

We take great pride in our beach house and want families to enjoy their vacations here as much as we do. The house is very clean, in excellent condition and is furnished with all the comforts of home. New hardwood flooring has been installed upstairs and in all the bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for your vacation stay.

The balconies have been upgraded with new Trex flooring. Rocking chairs are on the 3 covered balconies for peaceful relaxation. The front balconies overlook the pool and you can watch the sunrise reflecting on the ocean from the Master Balcony with your morning coffee. Our pool with furniture makes for pleasant use of the outdoor spaces.

Surfside Beach is less crowded than Myrtle Beach. You can enjoy the wide, white sandy beach with lifeguards during the summer season, have quiet relaxing time at our pool or experience the many activities the area has to offer.

Golf, shopping, water parks, miniature golf, shows & attractions are only minutes away. Restaurant row in Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island are only 15 minutes away and historic Charleston is 90 miles away.

In-season (June - August) we offer weekly rentals that start at 4pm on Saturday and check-out is the following Saturday no later than 10am. Off-season rentals (September - May) we offer 3-4 day minimum rentals. The renter must be 25 years of age or older and occupy the property during the rental period.

This is a great house for multi-family vacations. We hope you decide to spend your vacation at Serendipity by the Sea.

Pets are not allowed. An additional fee will be charged if this rule is violated.

Nice rental house

The house was clean and well stocked. Pool was dirty but the owners had the pool person come the next day to clean it, but he only came once the whole 6 days we were there, and it was in need of cleaning more often. (There was also broken glass by the pool, but we took care of it ourselves.) 2 blocks from the beach - not a bad walk. By a public park so some noise at night with music gatherings.

Perfect Location

This house was perfect for our family! The layout was great and everything was clean. The host were very attentive and checked in multiple times to make sure everything was okay. You couldn't ask for a better location. Close to the beach, pier, and restaurants. All of this within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Our Wedding Weekend

Our stay at this property was absolutely perfect! The house had plenty of space for everyone to spread out, but also large enough gathering areas for unity. The floor plan worked out perfect for us. You can’t beat having the pool right in the back yard. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! There were several well checks from the host which was also greatly appreciated as well!

Great place

Very big. All the kitchen amenities are there for you. Great location. Close to the beach and restaurants and the park where they have farmers markets. Owners are super responsive. Would def rent again when in the area. Thanks again.

Nice stay, just couple of hiccups

Everyone in my family had a wonderful time!.. lots of room, nice open concept.. only thing is that utensil drawer completely fell off the track when we opened it and could have been disastrous had it been one of the kids and there was no gas in the grill and was told to just buy it and we would be reimbursed but after emailing receipt no one contacted me so I guess the next occupants benefited. Otherwise I recommend it

Great experience

We traveled on a road trip from Boston MA to surf side South Carolina and it was a awesome! The house was clean, spacious enough clean towels and and bathrooms for our guest of 7! The kitchen was equipped with everything you can imagine! Only downside was there was no out door grill for us to use. We became friends with the guests next to us and they kindly let us use the grill they had available. My husband and I ride the bike alongside the beach and it was a great experience. Walking distance to the beach, bars etc! Only downside it more for older folks who there to relax but overall great stay! Thank you for letting us stay at your home!

3rd Stay Here - Surfside always delivers!

This is our 3rd stay at this home. We loved the previous owners and the new owners kept the standards just as high. They are very responsive and helpful. House is fully stocked and furnished nicely. Beds/linens are great. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies/dishes. Location is great ... super close to Benjamin's Bagels :) We have little kids so we love the Jack/Jill set up with the King bed in one room and a great room for kids in the other. We also love that there's a bedroom on the main floor -it's perfect for my dad. Rent a golf cart from Ajax and you'll be set - they do all the work for you. We hope to return again next summer for year #4.

Wonderful Vacation Home

Great home, great location, great owners! The house was clean and comfortable. So many little extras provided that other homes do not. My only complaint was not having a privacy fence between the two swimming pools of the duplex. However, we truly enjoyed our stay at Serendipity by the Sea.

Great Stay at Surfside

Even before our visit we were impressed by the professional welcome letter - covering everything that mattered, and beautifully formatted to boot! The home was exactly as advertised, and we were especially impressed with the well stocked kitchen. Plenty of dishes, glasses and all the pots/pans/gadgets we needed. The pool was amazing - it was serviced twice during our stay. Gene and Verla were very responsive to our questions and the couple of concerns that arose during our stay. No major issues, but a couple of minor house maintenance things that they promised would be fixed following our stay. It was indeed a short walk to the beach. We were dissapointed the pier is under construction, but we had plenty of room on the beach. We easily fit four cars in the driveway with room for a fifth. WiFi was good throughout the house - an occasional drop of connection for no apparent reason but we easily re-connected. The Firestick in the living room TV gave us good choices, and the Chromecast I brought rounded out the programming. A great stay! Thanks Gene & Verla!

Great vacation

It was such a pleasure dealing with the new owners of the house. Everything we needed was there. After a very long drive, it was so nice to have linens already there and beds made for us. This helped with packing so much. It’s the little things that make sure a difference. This house is in the perfect location to the beach and everything that surfside has to offer.

Wonderful family vacation!

The house was very accommodating for our family. Everyone had plenty of space. Kitchen had everything needed to cooking. Loved the neighborhood feel with parks, close restaurants and short walk to the beach. It was the perfect place away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle.

Great house!

Cheer competition 2022 trip

The home was just as beautiful as the listing, the pool was such a great touch and there were plenty of beds and bedrooms for everyone. The stair case was so spacious- which was great while carrying up luggage! The ceiling fans helped keep the rooms cool, the balconies were so nice and we had a view of ocean from the master bedroom balcony! The are was very nice and family oriented!! We would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful property

Each and every room was decorated beautifully. The location is absolutely perfect. Only issue was with the AC, however owner was continually checking in on us and trying to resolve the situation.

Cleaning

The house was clean to the naked eye but once we got into the house we noticed a couple things that were not clean. Under all furniture it was dirty and the AC was dirty. We had one person from our party get sick. When we looked at the vent in their room it was black inside. There were filters for the unit in the closet so we changed them and that helped. When we arrived there was a dirty diaper on the upper balcony that we needed to remove. The house itself was wonderful and we had a great vacation. The cleaning crew just needs to be better.

2nd Summer Here - Another Great Trip

This was my 2nd time renting this property. Linda and Ron are so responsive and helpful. They added linens to the package this year, huge upgrade. New furniture was comfy. As always everything you need is here - it’s like going to your own home but better lol. They think of it all… including a high chair and baby gate which we needed. Amazing location. Plenty of space. Private pool. We will be back next year. Thanks for the wonderful memories and a stress-free vacation. Also highly recommend AJax golf cart rental. Excellent customer service and responsiveness.
