We wish we could give this motel a negative 0. No dining of any kind. No area to purchase snack foods except the office. All of the walls, tub, shower, and shower curtain were dirty in room 281 with dark spot on shower curtain. Refused to stay. Second room 261 had a dry medium yellowish orange emesis spot near the entry way to the sink. Bathtub and shower were clean. However, we advise everyone to stay away from Mount Vernon Inn in Sumter, SC.

This place is so underrated… Ultra clean in the heart of downtown … Highly recommended… Very helpful and intelligent staff… The pool was incredible… Highly recommend booking in advance due to being in such high demand…

At an event and decided not to go back home. It is what it is especially for the price. It’s housing and hotel stay. No roaches. They just need to put money into it and it would really be a decent place to stay.

Shockingly neglected property. Broken shades, duct tape on the walls, rust stains in the bathroom. Just terrible shape. Front desk staff was great. I would not stay at this motel again
