"The hotel was clean and mostly well maintained. It was a quiet and comfortable place to rest and sleep. The breakfast was a relatively good quality for the level hotel with the capability to make your own waffles with the option of using Maple syrup. Ok sausages and scrambled eggs. The only thing missing at the breakfast was some fresh fruit: bananas or apples. The only issue with the “property” is some of the back/side doors to the hotel wings did not work properly. After I reported it the first day they brought in a mechanic. You could easily see they had worked on the door but unfortunately it was worse."

"We are motorcycle travelers and the driveway is not Goldwing approved. The pictures didn’t really show well the area for parking and the concrete slab looks bigger in the pictures than it actually is. I was also under the impression the bed was bigger but it worked out fine. We couldn’t really find the place at first and the area we were in would not let us call out. We also couldn’t connect to the WiFi but had just enough signal we could make do. Smaller than I thought but still nice. All things aside, it is a beautiful, quiet area. The area was clean."

"The property was clean, well maintained and perfect for my family to get away and enjoy WV. It was close to hiking, the lake and restaurants but tucked in a quiet neighborhood. Pluses were the game room, hot tub and fenced in back yard for the pups. Highly recommend!!"

"We enjoyed our stay in Buckeye and loved the biking and hiking we did in the surrounding area. The house is nice with spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, and a great screen porch but for the price could use some furniture upgrades, flow adjustments, and deep cleaning. River access is great and it would be really nice if the owner allowed guests to use the kayaks and floats that are stored there. The kitchen has nice/new appliances, is well stocked, and overall functions pretty well. Be aware that the house is elevated above the flood plain so there are some long and steep stairs to access the living spaces."
