"This may not be everyone’s idea of Heaven on Earth, but it is mine! So quiet and remote with direct ocean front access. The view when you pull up is incredible. The cottage was exactly as described. It had everything we needed, and some things we had forgotten. Small on stature, but cozy and comfy and quiet. I appreciated there was no tv but has good wifi and some puzzles and games. "Yes we had two dogs with us, great spot for them to enjoy. We had an issue with the coffee pot and the owners took care of it within 30 minutes. Only issue was the odor of the water, it was fully explained that it was safe to drink and bathe in but very off putting. We bought water to drink and limited showers. Other than that it is an awesome spot."

"The cottage was the perfect place for our small team to set up a 'home base' while working in the area. The location was perfect, the cottage was clean and well kept. The host was great, very responsive, and even checked in on us during a passing tropical storm to ensure everything was ok. I would highly recommend!"

"Homesteader Lodge is a beautiful property and home, directly on the lake. We loved that it was pet-friendly too!The house had everything we needed, including a wonderful hot tub, just off of the screened in porch. It was too cool for us to use the porch but it would be lovely in warmer weather. The beds were very comfortable and the house was exactly as pictured. Bathrooms were clean, with plenty of hot water. The kitchen had lots of dishes and cookwear, as well as new appliances. One thing I would suggest is picking up your groceries, etc in the towns nearby as there aren’t places close by to shop. Antigonish is about 25 minutes away. This property is very unique, both in design and location and anyone who is lucky enough to stay will truly enjoy their time there. "
