"The whole experience was wonderful! My only draw was that with such a beautiful old property, that obviously wont have central air, they didnt provide a fan in the room. We kept the window open the entire time as it was unseasonably warm which resulted in some bug bites. A fan would've been lovely to combat the bugs and provide a bit of relief. The staff was lovely and the property quite opulent. I could sit in the window bench for hours hearing the birds. The dining was delicious. The falconry was an experience I would absolutely recommend! There are such beautiful wild flowers and wild raspberries on the trails as well as a lovely stream. This is a place to be tranquil and close to nature. Not a place for screen time. If you are doing a tour of Scotland this is a wonderful place to finish and relax."

"Perfect little space to use as a base for exploring around Edinburgh. Nicely decorated and comfortable bed. The welcome leaflet stated there was tea,coffee, a wee dram and a treat... However the tea and the wee dram were missing. There was also a funky smell in the kitchen and things weren't that clean in there either. There were also no sponges or dishwasher tablets to be able to wash our pots."
