The Inn is just lovely.
The staff was so friendly, helpful, and informative. They gave us lots of recommendations over their new texting app. I wanted to know where to go for good coffee and they pointed us in the right direction. They go above and beyond and brought anything we needed (extra TP, towels) when we texted.
The place is about a 15 minute walk from Whole Foods and the main street, which was perfect since we don't drive. Took a few cars during our trip but we could walk to the train, and we could walk from our hike in Pomerance Park.
The outdoor pool is stupendous and I spent every afternoon there. I was the only one in the pool every time. I specifically looked for a place to stay that had an *outdoor* pool because of COVID concerns and this did not disappoint.
Breakfast outdoors every morning was idyllic and they served it to our table. It was my birthday and they surprised us with chocolates and some Stanton House swag as a present.
The Inn is beautiful, with charming art everywhere, and you can really see the place has a history. I played around with the organ in the parlor a bit, which was interesting.
My goal was to go somewhere to relax, out of the busy city for the weekend even in the age of COVID, and this totally did it. The staff wears masks at all times, everywhere, as did my partner and I in all public spaces, so we felt very comfortable.
