A very comfortable stay.

Staff we very friendly and attentive. Hotel was clean and tidy, food was excellent. Views from the elevated position we fantastic across the valley. Would certainly stay again.

A very friendly, family run hotel Nigel Jayne and the team were extremely helpful, friendly and attentive . Nothing was too much trouble for them. We dined in the hotel and had breakfasts with the food being individually prepared and freshly cooked exactly to order. The hotel is quiet, situated in lovely gardens and within walking distance of a beautiful beach and the lovely village of St Agnes and other attractions We will visit again

Nigel was so great, I made an error on my booking dates and he fixed it no problem ! The hotel is clean, modern, newly refurnished. Brekky was lovely, warm friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel. £5 surcharge for a dog which is brilliant. Only thing is the electric shower, it’s not as good as gas but it was still ok! Just to know , dogs can’t go in the restaurant. Lovely hotel and great staff !!

The hidden gem

This hotel is absolutely spotless John,Lorrena and the staff are amazing,this friendly hotel is a secret I will not keep there is nothing that is too much trouble.We had a lovely weekend and the chef cooked us a lovely dinner.We will be back soon

Absolutely brilliant stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy! Really comfortable bed and pillows and so very clean! Food was fresh and very tasty. Couldn't fault anything!

Positive notes: Very nice and friendly people. The hotel and the room were very clean. Well prepared and safe for covid. Dislikes and what to improve: Very slow wifi in room 9. I suggest to have a wifi booster. TV antenna issue: we couldn’t watch ITV2 and many other channels. It was keep saying no-signal. Faulty shower heater: on high flow - water was keep getting cold and then burning hot. In was working fine on Eco mode. In general very poor water flow. Most of dog Friendly hotels, have a section in their restaurant for dog owners. Here dogs are not allowed inside restaurant at all. There is also no any alternative area for dog owners to serve food. They don’t serve food outside. So we had to have the breakfast inside the room. But we were struggling to eat our break fast inside the room as the room was super small. We wanted to try the dinner, but again we couldn’t because of our small dog. Room 9 size: I have never seen a hotel with a double bed room as small as this room. Room 9 has no view other than recycling bins. We could hear guests on walking on the above room and also hear next door room. Very hard to sleep. No water at room. Most of the hotels offer small bottle of waters inside the room. I consider this is a family run business hotel. I’m sure the reviews are important for them. That is why I give them a 4 star. If it was a franchise cooperate hotel, I would give lower score.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in.

I have never stayed in a place like this. The staff are all friendly and give 5 star service. Everything has a comforting home like feel as well as being really classy and extremely clean. The restaurant felt homely whilst offering 5 star service and excellent food. We spent half a day walking around St Agnes, the beach is romantic and beautiful, the walk down is lush. We walked up the trail to The Beacon which has out of the world views and watched the sunset. The beds are ridiculously comfortable and you can tell the owners of this beautiful place really really care about your experience. This is luxury without the cost. We will be back.

very friendly staff, good breakfast, and just about the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in, top marks! only small comment is the description on Expedia that says it's 0.1 miles out, the reality is that it's a 15/20 minute walk to get to the shops/pubs. some of it along single track road.

Bit of a gem. Nigel and Jane and their team are absolutely lovely. The hotel has a warm friendly feel to it and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived until we last. Wonderful comfy beds, super clean everywhere and the food was superb. The setting is so peaceful with great views. We will definitely return. It’s a very special place.

We enjoyed a pleasant stay at Beacon Country House Hotel. Our room had an incredible view over the countryside and was warm, comfortable and had excellent amenities. The ensuite bath and shower were great (and we used both!) and tea/coffee facilities much appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel offered us everything we could've needed for our stay in Cornwall. It was easy to walk out from so we could leave the car behind and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The hotel and all the staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! The view from the delux room was worth the additional money. Unfortunately the budget room was overlooking rooftops and the back of the kitchen, hence the reduced price.
