"Loved that they had a comfortable lobby with all the antique chairs and tables. We were able to gather as a group and play games or just chit chat. Also have a bar on site with both live music and piped in. Nice for the evenings if you wanted to stick close."

Expedition Lodge Estes Park

6/10 Okay

"This is not a place for people who cannot negotiate stairs. To get to our room we had to go up a flight of stairs or could ride the elevator to the second floor and walk down two flights of stairs. The breakfast was minimal at best with only a hardboiled egg bar, oatmeal, cereal and waffles. The fruit was limited to apples. For the price of the room I did expect better."

"Good- location and that is all you are getting! Just know that the park hotel is very poorly staffed with brand new employees who know as little as you do about the park and lodge. We didn't get to check into our room until 6 bc linens had not been delivered on time per management. They had no idea that the first floor of our lodge was in the basement without an elevator And my mother couldn't use stairs. Took multiple conversations to get a room in a building with an elevator Our room was actually very clean and cute but dated. We went to the front desk for coffee and new towels as no one ever serviced our room and the front desk had neither. A young lady finally showed up at 8 pm with linens only bc she couldn't find/didn't have coffee. One bit of confusion/ no microwaves. Not even a communal one which would have been very helpful. Does have an ice machine."

"Our stay at Hyatt Vacation Club at The Ranahan was exceptional from start to finish. The property is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and offers stunning mountain views. The accommodations were spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the amenities—especially the pool and hot tubs—were perfect after a day of exploring Breckenridge. The location provides easy access to town while still offering a peaceful mountain retreat. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend The Ranahan to anyone looking for a first-class Breckenridge experience."

Grant Village - Inside the Park

"Tried to give this place grace, unfortunately we have run out. Came into our room to find someone else’s used towels in our bathroom. Let the front desk know & chalked up to “oh they probably forgot to close the door to see that”. Okay. Requested our room be properly cleaned the next day. Then there was dirt underneath the blankets they place at the end of the beds. Strike 2. Then we put our kids in the shower & found hair all over the shower stall, & someone else’s box of soap still in there. Our shower was NOT cleaned & I am sorry, but for $330/night, our shower should AT LEAST be cleaned. Got in bed at 10:30pm & our sheets were stained, a giant yellow spot on one side, stains all over the sheets, pillow cases were yellow. We asked for room service to come change our sheets because I draw the line at sleeping in filth. Overall, I would never recommend staying here & it just makes me question staying in the national parks lodging all together, especially for the price. We are incredibly bummed & know they could be doing better. Double beds for a family is not ideal, and when you can see the queen size head board behind it, it makes you wonder why that changed. Unfortunately, once our beds were remade, the yellow sheets did not change. Just gross. Dust all over everything. It is TINY. Photos make it look brighter and more roomy. You hear everything around and above you. Photos show a keurig, it is not. We are so sad :("
