Parking was not easy. It was advertised as free parming and the explanation made it seem simple enough but finding free street parking in the area is not easy and you co stantly have to move your vehicles.

The room is beautiful, minimalist, luxurious, and extremely comfortable. In my opinion, it’s perfect for a solo traveler or, especially, for a couple. Since the room is on the smaller side, I personally wouldn’t consider it ideal for families traveling with children. For a romantic getaway, however, it was absolutely perfect. One of the highlights is having an incredible and highly sought-after restaurant right inside the building. The dining experience was exceptional — the food was impeccable, the atmosphere was beautiful, and it truly added another level to our stay. I highly recommend making the restaurant part of the experience. To make our stay even more special, I hired a local company, Our Love Box (@ourlovebox on Instagram), to create a romantic surprise in the room. I ordered a gorgeous bouquet of 100 roses along with a full romantic room setup, and the result was absolutely stunning. What impressed me even more was how seamless everything was. They handled the entire setup and came back the following day to remove all of the decorations. Once they were finished, you couldn’t even tell there had been a setup in the room — everything was left exactly as it was before. Overall, the entire experience was incredible. Between the luxurious and comfortable room, the exceptional dining experience, and the romantic setup, it was truly memorable. Well, I didn’t have a fridge in the room and that’s unheard of. I don’t know why and their air conditioning didn’t really work nor did the fan so the room got quite stuffy. You could open a window but then you get to listen to all the craziness outside it’s a nice place other than a few problems.

First off, the property is clean, modern and well-located. The staff were friendly. The room’s furnishings were up-to-date and comfortable. BUT. Two things ruined the stay for me. First, the thermostat has a bright green light that stays on if the unit is on. So all night, there’s a bright green light in your room. I had to turn away from that wall to have a chance at sleep. It’s not deep enough to hang a piece of clothing to cover the light. Secondly, once I did get to sleep, I was loudly jarred awake by garbage trucks that work their route between 2-4 am. I got to hear nearly two hours of extreme banging and metal grinding noises while the garbage was emptied along the length of the street. This was one of the poorest nights of sleep I’ve ever had at a “better” hotel. I cannot recommend the Godfrey.
