Perfect for our stay

The property was very convient for what we needed. We stayed for the weekend and it had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The rooms were very spacious. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The communication with the host was so easy to.

Convenient, clean, spacious, and comfortable

We loved this property! It checked all of the boxes for cleanliness, convenience, and comfort. We had everything we needed in this property and would definitely book this unit again! I would highly recommend for couples or small families.

Uncomfortable

We have stayed at the continental before with another provider. This room was so uncomfortable we chose to leave a day early. Someone prior had to of had a party in the bed because that bed frame is on the verge of breaking. We were worried to roll over at night. The mattress was like sleeping on cardboard, and bedding was so used and deteriorated- it just made it for a very uncomfortable night of sleep. When you are in the sun and water all day- a good night SLEEP is very important in order to enjoy your next day. The second bedroom was not any better. Our son was uncomfortable, the bedding was very uncomfortable and not all outlets worked. As someone who stays in hotels on a very regular basis for work- this is a room at the continental we will NOT be staying at again. Please put mattress covers on your mattresses. It is gross seeing others stains.

Located by the beach and the place was clean SPI rental always got back to me when I had questions next time I would book directly through SPI than vrbo due to extra fees other than that everything was great

A week in hell

Our condo was fine and your staff did a good job. Our first trip to South Padre. The weather was as bad as it could be. Windy,rainy, cloudy and cold the entire week. 4 hours of sunshine in 6 days. Gale warnings several days. Forecast didn’t look great but actual weather worse. Just bad timing.

Beautiful view

Nice condo, just be careful the floors are very slick, the master bedroom and spare bedroom were quite warm, had to go buy a fan, but other than that it was nice, also FYI parking is across the street, no on-site parking.

Old and beat up

The key was difficult and we couldn’t always get the door to lock which caused us to have to leave one person back for security reasons. The condo was clean but beat up! End tables and walls were less than impressive. If you like cold showers, this is your place! The pool was dirty all but one day we were there. I do not recommend.

Nice beach stay

Couldn't be closer to the beach. I liked the private access to the property with a passcode. There's an outdoor shower which came very handy on our way back from the beach. The appartment is very practical with everything essential needed inside.

Had a great stay, perfect for our long week-end getaway but plan to come back for a longer stay. Direct beach view/access, very relaxing - great sunrises With morning coffee right from our balcony.

Convenient and comfortable

We wanted a place on the beach for the convenience. We brought our dog and have an 11 year old. The place had everything we needed to be comfortable and eat in house ( due to Covid). It was a lovely stay. We chose to be on the first floor to eliminate stairs and shared stairwells, the only drawback is that sand constantly blows into the condo from the back doors. But that was a minor irritant for being on the beach. That SPI management team is fantastic!

Continental is the BEST!

We love the Continental! It’s been our 3rd or 4th time staying here and we will definitely be back! Great location and this condo had everything we needed! And hopefully when we do get back the deck walkway will be extended to the beach so we don’t burn our feet on the sand!

Great Value!

This was the second time we've stayed here and we'd happily come back again. It's really nice inside, comfortable furniture, great layout for a family--and there is an incredible view of the dunes and beach from inside! I love being on the first floor--so easy to scoot out to the beach! The downsides of the condo are well-accounted for in the price: it's an older, basic building and parking is across the street. Minus one star because the refrigerator does not work well--the freezer didn't keep ice cream frozen and the fridge wasn't cold enough to keep beer cold. A working fridge is a must-have at the beach! Note that the VRBO blurb says there is a hot tub on the property, but there is not. There is a small pool right outside the condo.

Lovely condo right on the beach

The condo was lovely and we had a great stay. It was overall, clean, comfortable and on the first floor which made it so easy to get to the beach and the pool. The master bedroom mattress was pretty old/squeaky, but that's my only complaint. I would definitely stay again!

Easy Family Stay

Our family of 5 had a great time at this condo. It was very clean with super easy access to the beach and all the fun of the island. We prefer the location on the far end of the island, over the busy area near the bridge. The first floor was ideal for hauling our stuff to and from the beach. The weekend was crowded in the pool area and on the beach. The washing machine was a game changer! The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been a later check out. A 10 a.m. check out doesn't leave us much time to enjoy the last day. Thanks for making our stay in SPI so great.
