We were very pleasantly surprised to find an historic cabin that had all of the updated modern amenities--that didn't take away from the historic charm. Clean, comfortable, quiet, great lakeside location--couldn't ask for more--and the host was awesome--very responsive and extremely accommodating and friendly. If you are headed to the area--I would choose this place over any other hotel, inn, or rental that I've seen.」

Accessibility for an elderly grandparent was the only issue- the 1800’s era stairs are narrow and steep, so extra care and assistance was needed to make sure a fall did not occur.」

「The house was wonderful to stay in. Big kitchen with updated appliances and a gas grill to do family meals. My family used it all and ended the night at the fire pit. The zipline, board games, & Cornhole kept us entertained. The house was clean, roomy, and somehow felt cozy. The hosts were super sweet and left us a welcome basket of Dayton treats that we all devoured. I would highly recommend it for a family or friends get away.」

「The house had a lot of work done to it and they did a great job to clean it up and make it very comfortable! Even though I knew it going into our stay, I wish there was a Second Bathroom. We were able to make it work but the good thing I will say is the hot water for showering was never an issue. The other thing I will say is be careful with how many people stay. There might have been an innocent mistake in the number of beds, but there were not 4 queen beds as described. there were 3 with a set...
