"We came in from Pittsburgh, PA for a huge event in the city that was well advertised. When checking in, the process was rather lengthy with multiple people waiting. The ‘incidental’ charges were different prices for everyone. The pool was not filled/operable. The fireplaces outside were also inoperable. And, upon arrival from the event later in the evening, there were no parking spaces available without sufficient help from staff to rectify the situation. The rooms were nice-but there’s no...

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chicago Gurnee

8/10 Good

"Good location"

Antioch Hotel & Suites

8/10 Good

"It's about what you would expect for a budget hotel. Our room was a view of the pool area, breakfast included, was standard continental breakfast. Beds were pretty comfortable, pillows suck. We had a big cobweb hanging over a bed....otherwise pretty clean. No problems. Nice bar area with some games and nice outdoor seating."

Best Western Executive Inn Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie

10/10 Excellent

"The location and price are both very good and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good except there was no bacon (advertised on website). I really liked that there were 3 choices of coffee strength, as someone who enjoys a bold coffee I was very pleased with the taste. There was a great selection of free brochures and magazines for entertainment and places to visit as well as happy hour in the bar. The room was also very good, the bed was very comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. I would definitely stay here again."

Illinois Beach Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This was a lovely stay right near the beachfront. Lovely lobby. Room was very basic, but you could see lake Michigan sparkling, so that was a treat. Staff was very nice. Dining hours were limited and coffee in the lobby was $2.50 for drip, but we found a nice coffee shop in Zion that suited our breakfast needs. Pool was under renovation, as noted on the website, but more than made up for with beach walks and black oak savanna trails just outside the door."
