"I chose this hotel because it was the best price and deal for a short stay to checkout the Scottsboro Boys Museum and the Unclaimed Baggage Store. It’s centrally located and what it lacks in luster is made up comfort. The room was clean, I love that there was no carpet, the microwave and mini fridge were immaculately cleaned. I felt a bit sketchy when I pulled up but Rob at the front desk was easy to check in with and all in all the location was safer than I anticipated as a solo traveler. "

"Clean, well-appointed property and truly a hidden gem. I really enjoyed my stay in Gorham's Bluff. The host was very responsive even when I was having issues with utilizing the lockbox to enter the house. The house was impeccably clean. It was so nice, the bed was super comfy, and I especially loved the gourmet kitchen and the great hot tub. The shower off the master with a seat in it was so fancy. I did not get a chance to use the neighborhood pool as I was there in the fall but it was literally right next door. Lots of great areas for walks like the scenic overlook with great views of the river and gulf, the neighborhood streets with all the cute cottages, and the pond with visiting geese and mallards. This is a great place to visit if you want some place quiet and family friendly, or for solo travel or couples. I think this would do well too for business travelers- there's a nice workspace off the kitchen and the wifi was super speedy. My cat and I got some great walks in during our visit. There is a nice gas grill off the deck but I did not personally use. The host had also added seasonal decorations which was a nice touch."
