If you appreciate unique and eclectic, then this is the property for you! From the lovely porches and gardens, to the amazing decor in this beautiful, turn-of-the century home, literally every square inch of it is a feast for the eyes. There are fully stocked coffee bars on each floor of the Fairfield Place Inn, along with endless bowls of enticing chocolates, taffy, and sweets of all sorts--too numerous to name them all. The breakfast was delicious, the staff courteous and helpful. My only regret is that we were not able to meet the owners, who were out of town. Perhaps on our next visit--as we will most definitely be returning!

I love this bed and breakfast and I will return again. The owner was extremely nice and the staff as well. The bed was comfortable and the spa bathtub was nice. There are snacks throughout the facility a coffee bar and the breakfast was amazing. You’re gonna love it there and I assure that you won’t regret it. Book a room today.

Staying in John’s bed-and-breakfast was a unique once in a lifetime experience for my wife and I. We have never experienced such graces and generous hospitality. The breakfast in John’s beautiful dining room started each day on such a high and happy note. Our room was very charming and comfortable, and at the end of the day exploring the Bayou it felt so good to come home to it, it felt like coming home. I cannot stress how generous and warm the staff at Fairfield is. You will want for nothing and you will leave with memories that will last a lifetime.

What a beautiful home! And the area is so tranquil and peaceful! There was a wedding going on across the way, and it was a nice little concert up until about 8 o’clock. Didn’t bother us at all, in fact, I enjoyed it sitting out on the balcony! Breakfast was outstanding! Proprietor also does catering, and it shows that he is a chef! Would love to stay there again when we next come to Shreveport!

Breakfast was excellent. John, the owner, is very courteous. Snacks are great. John got breakfast ready early even though breakfast starts at 8:30. However, There is noise from other guests when they come and go as this is a house and you are staying in a room in a house. The internet is very week. The TV has weird channels and not regular sports or news channels you are used to. No central lobby to hang out. Basically you are in the room and not have good tv or internet or desk to do work in the room so the stay can be difficult for a business traveller. I guess, it can be great for a family who need multiple rooms and want to stay close to each other and do not mind the noise.

Thank you so Much .i am so sorry you could not not find the common areas because we have many . The internet was weak due to the storm.all rooms have private bathrooms and are basically always private.

Our stay at Fairfield Manor was a 10 ! We loved our room (the entire home was beautiful), and breakfast was phenomenal! We've never seen a B&B stocked with SO many free snack options! If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely book another stay.

I was called this morning with check in instructions and texted a page with information. When I got here, there was no one to greet me. There were two workers outside when i went exploring, but they seemed busy with their work. I havent seen another worker since. There is a lot of damage to the house.. paint missing or damaged, cracks in the walls around the door. In fact, the front door cant even be opened because of the foundation/settling issues. I came to a B&B because I have a weird fear of a huge hotel crashing down on me... but these things have made it much worse! On top of that, i dont feel safe at all. Just one lock on the door with no chain. I feel like anyone with a key could just walk in. When I got back from dinner, a side door to the house was completely unlocked. Anyone could have come in. Also, no central heat! Its going to be in the 40s tonight and the only heater is a space heater that I do not feel safe leaving on all night. It came with no instructions, so I have no clue how to work it other than turning it on. Its a shame too, because the area is great, its beautiful from the outside, and the decor is adorable.

I am so sorry we could not refund your reservation as it was too late and we have a policy in place with expedia.most of our guest's love our safe and charming place.We have a phone number that if you have a problem you can call anytime. i did notice that you did not make the Call. we try real hard to go above and beyond and sometimes we just miss the mark.

The overall ambiance of this beautiful residence and surroundings is amazing. The owner is very involved in ensuring comfort and goes out of his way to make your stay memorable and unique. The breakfast is far from mediocre and we would definitely stay here again.

House and staff are fantastic, Unfortunately like many old historical neighborhoods with grand old houses there are some areas close by that I would not wander about. This property and immediate surrounding area is safe and well tended. The property itself is very secure. I have stayed many times and it is a favor of mine. Shreveport has been rated as a dangerous city - common sense generally prevails.

The website said complimentary wine and the mgr knew nothing about it although there was a small bar with hard liquor. Nothing was explained about how to get ice and water. Overall, it was a charming place and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
