"The host is terrific: Knowledgeable, friendly, and amazingly responsive! The place was truly perfect for our family. Clean, light, roomy, and airy— with all the amenities of a newly renovated place! My husband and I were very comfortable on the first floor while my kids and grandkids had their own 2 bedrooms and bathroom, as well as another living room, on the second floor. Great for privacy. The kitchen was well stocked and organized and, like the rest of the house, meticulously clean! We spent several happy hours in the private swimming pool with our kids and grandkids before heading to the nearby beach for a glorious afternoon in the sunshine.Our grandkids enjoyed the local zoo, candy store, and toy shop, and we had delicious dinners at the local restaurants. Wonderful place! We will return!"

"This was our second stay at The Pioneer on York Beach, and our family had another wonderful week. This property provides two large spaces for our family to be together for group activities and adequate bedrooms for all of us. The game room has been a great space after long days on the beach and the occasional rainy day. The location allows us to take in a variety of activities within walking distance to Short Sands and downtown York Beach. There are nightly concerts in Ellis Park Thursday-Sunday. This year they held the annual Nubble Lighthouse Swim race while we were there, and we were able to watch the finish of the race on Short Sands. Another great family beach week in the books."

"Accommodations were very clean! AC was good. parking was good, but tight for 2 cars as we rented the 2 bedroom suite, so we had 3 couples in 2 cars. So, we were not sure how to park for 2 cars and needed to park one of the cars at another location. please leave spare garbage bags to use for the trash bucket in the kitchen as the trash started to overflow on the 3rd day of our visit. We used our shopping bags for the trash that did not fit in the trash bucket. Not a big deal, but it would be more convenient to have spare trash bags. Thank you. we would recommend staying Inn on the Blues to our friends. overall, It was very good accommodations."
