Queen Mary House: Very large holiday home with superb sea views

Built in the Art Deco era, this three-storey, end-of-terrace house (formerly two adjacent houses) offers bright rooms, sea views, and sleeping arrangements for up to 20 people – all in a fantastic clifftop position overlooking Sheringham beach.

The house has been arranged with large family gatherings in mind, and we’ve tried our best to cater for all your needs. On the ground floor there is a very large, open-plan living area with a well-stocked kitchen, ample comfortable seating, and a large dining table. There’s also a games room with table football and pool/snooker, and an enclosed, sea-facing patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue.

In terms of location, you’d be hard-pressed to find somewhere better. The (dog-friendly) East Beach is only three minutes’ walk away, the North Norfolk Coastal Path begins almost on our doorstep, and Sheringham town centre (known for its old-fashioned seaside atmosphere and thriving independent shops) is just five minutes’ walk away.

Great sized property for us all, a few niggles though..... Shame it faced completely north so no sun in main sea facing rooms. Dripping main kitchen tap drove us crazy! Fantastic games room!!

Somehow the photos don’t give how spacious it is. It was an absolute joy when I walked in. The grandchildren didn’t want to leave. Loads of comfy furniture to enable family to have a good catch up. Equipment in the kitchen made catering so easy.

Such a lovely place

Not the first nor hopefully the last time we stay. We booked for a belated Xmas get together and it did not disappoint. A great seating area for us all to eat and play games along with the relaxing lounge area too. Oh and the view….. stunning!

Family getaway

We were quite a diverse family group of all ages but were able to arrange ourselves, in nice family groupings, as well as singles and couples in this large property. There is ample room to spread out and the facilities are very good; plenty of toilets and bathrooms and a very good sized kitchen, plenty of equipment.

Perfect stay for the larger family.

We have returned from another wonderful stay at Queen Mary House in Sheringham, the third or fourth stay there, we think. The accommodations is large, clean and homely - an ideal gathering place for us, our children and grandchildren. The location offers everything within easy distance, from coastal walks to trips into quaint, unspoilt Sheringham itself with its steam railway small, independent shops and restaurants. We’ve not been disappointed yet.

Fabulous holiday home

We stayed in this amazing property for a large 80th birthday celebration. What a wonderful place it is. Very spacious and comfortable with THE most stunning views of the sea. The photographs don’t do it justice. Would 100 % recommend. Thankyou very much

Christmas holiday

We have stayed at this property on a few occasions always at Christmas and have always had a good time, the property is well equipped for the number of us and a great location, we did find the cooker took a long time to get things done but we put things in earlier so got used to that the only other thing was that he drains in top floor Bathrooms were quite smelly at times, other than that another great stay.

80th Birthday family celebration

We recently rented this house for a long weekend for my mums 80th birthday. We had an age range from 4 to 83 ! The house is great , very spacious, beautiful views and well located . The little touches like the room names & subtle decor gave it character . The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with 2 of everything including dishwashers . There was a brilliant long table and lots of crockery! It was light and airy and we didn’t feel over crowded with 17 of us . If I had to make a criticism it would be the sofas , these have seen better days but it would not put me off booking again. We really enjoyed our stay .

Family holiday

We came over from NZ to meet up with all my husbands children and grandchildren. Perfect spot. Spent everyday at the beach when the tide was out. Beautiful weather and beach with lots of swims. Great space as there was 12 of us. Good facilities with good number of bathrooms. Well kitted out kitchen. Lovely views from deck outside. Didn't use bbq but everything provided if we wanted to. Great 18 hole pitting course at the top of the street. Very pretty township which was easily accessed along the promenade. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to create lovrly family memories. We have left with lots.

Big Birthday Bash

Birthday celebration with the whole immediate family, 14 of us. The house was spacious, very well located and had the necessary equipment. However, the oven proved a little slow and we could have done with more bin liners and some essential cleaning products and while the patio area had lovely views, the seating did not encourage time outside. The beds were comfortable and the linen was very fresh. The seating in the dining area and the comfy sofas met our needs. We would recommend this house for large groups.

Weekend break

Ideal property for a large group., With plenty of communal space on the ground floor. There was plenty and variety of activities to do. Our party consisted of active (coastal walk adjacent to property) and less active (near town centre). As an aside a mirror in the first floor bathroom is required. Also, we found the table in the kitchen got in the way, but that might be just the nature of our party! Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend.

Brilliant location

There were 11 family members (4 generations) youngest 8 eldest 90. We all had a great time. The property has sleeping accommodation for 20, however, we all said that because of limited bathroom facilities, 11/12 would be optimal. We had issues with Wi-Fi, the owner responded to my messages immediately and service was resumed. Maybe ready for a bit of an upgrade and a good spring cleaning, but we were on holiday!!! so who cares 😂🤔😂 overall great stay.
