The first room I was put in was very nice but small. The ac was not very strong. The staff gave us the option to move rooms and I thought it was a great idea. Until we moved in the room. The room had black mould on the wall by the sliding glass door and the sliding glass door leaked water really bad and soaked the floor. I should have stayed in the first room it was small but it was much better.

This hotel is perfect if you only need a bed and a shower. It is in a great location near several main attractions as well as public transportation. Even though the hotel sits right in the center of one of the busiest areas in Shanghai, the rooms are surprisingly quiet, However, a few things could be improved. The hotel is old, and when I say old, I mean old. It feels like stepping back into the 1990s and is in serious need of a proper renovation. It would also be nice if they offered breakfast, even if it were just a simple continental option, as the surrounding choices are mostly limited to Starbucks, Costa Coffee. Apart from that, the hotel offers excellent value for money. The lady at the front desk during the morning and afternoon shifts was fantastic and extremely welcoming. The night receptionist was very professional, though he seemed like he could use some extra caffeine or a bit more sleep, he occasionally lost track of the conversation, making it feel like his mind was somewhere else! Overall, a decent place to stay for the price.

Right on Naking pedestrian walk with pretty of restaurants and shops. Room is spaceous. Needs more thorough cleaning of bathroom grouts and minor repairs throughout the place. Beware that there are about ten steps at the hotel entrance, avoid staying here if your are disabled, difficult walking or have heavy luggage’s

The facilities had seen it’s glory days, but the location and surroundings more than make up for it. It’s a perfect position to Nanjing Road East. In fact it’s pretty much smack bang central to Nanjing Road East. Walk out the front door and you’re in Nanjing Road. Walk for seven mins down Nanjing Road East and you’re at Nanjing Road East metro station. Line 2 runs from this metro station direct to/from Pudong Airport. Walk approx 15 mins down Nanjing Road East from the hotel and you’re at The Bund. Of course if you walk slower or faster it will take less or more time walking 🙃😂😂 Brilliant position, lovely staff, had a nice meal at the onsite restaurant. The room and beds are very comfortable and the A/c is terrific, no fancy electronic controls and super easy to adjust temperature. Oh and one of the best things was windows that could be opened for fresh air!!! Also DiDi Rideshare is easy to catch to and from the hotel. If I was coming to Shanghai again I’d most definitely stay here again!!!

Great location on Nanjing Road with plenty of access to shopping and restaurants. Hotel is old and elevator broke down having to take the stairs from the 16th floor to the 7th. House keeping did come and help with luggage but was not ideal situation at all. Also had hairs on the bed and bathroom that was not mine. Was only staying in Shanghai one night so did not say anything since was only transitioning through.
