Living Room

The first thing to catch your eye? The friendly black bear standing next to the stone fireplace! This nearly life-sized, carved bear is a charming reminder of the Smokies’ most famous animal. Stretch out on the buttery-soft leather sofa in front of a crackling fire and watch your favorite flicks on the flat-screen TV. Overhead soars a cathedral ceiling, bright with sunlight reflecting on honey-gold wood paneling.

Kitchen

Modern, open plan design means conversation can flow easily between the living room and the kitchen. Blonde wood cabinets hold all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you’ll need, whether you’re whipping up a picnic or creating a gourmet meal. A double sink makes clean-ups a snap. The extra large kitchen counter doubles as a breakfast bar, with stools where you can sit to sip coffee or work on your computer.

Dining

The elegant, dark wood dining table seats six with ease. With the fireplace to one side, windows overhead, and French doors nearby, the dining area is light and airy. Gather everyone here for meals, then while the kids clear the dishes, set up Monopoly or Snakes and Ladders for a game night.

Bonus Loft Living Area

At the top of the stairs, a surprise awaits you! The loft level is home to a second living area. Compact and cozy, this space features a full-sized sofa and a plump, comfy armchair.

Bedrooms

Solitude’s three bedrooms include two rooms with king beds and a bunk room just right for kids or teens.

The king bedrooms feature log beds, exposed beam ceilings, flat-screen TVs, and ample storage space. Unpack, and you’ll feel at home! Take in the thoughtful touches, like a nightstand made from an old-fashioned barrel and a mirror in a pretty wooden frame. One bathroom offers a deep, jetted tub, where jets of warm water massage you. Another bathroom has a convenient shower-and-tub combo.

The bunk room gives you two sets of log bunks, for a total of four beds. These are full mattresses, not tiny single beds, so everyone can get a great night’s rest. This room doubles as a casual game room, with a round game table and a closet full of board games to keep everyone entertained.

Outdoor Spaces

When you drive up to this rustic wooden cabin, you’ll see why it’s named Solitude. Located at the end of a private drive, surrounded by trees, and perched on a hillside, this cabin promises a quiet getaway. Gather the family around the fire pit out back. Watch for wildlife in the woods, just yards away. Play ping pong on the covered patio, to the sound of birds twittering nearby.

Over the patio is the cabin’s spacious deck, with a roof to keep away summer sun and autumn drizzle. Kick back in a handcrafted log rocking chair. Eat lunch alfresco at the deck’s dining table–fresh air really whets the appetite!
