"I was riding the Shimanami Kaido and the Green Hill Hotel proved to be an excellent place to stay for the start. First off, it’s location is perfect. Service was great and staff were extremely polite and helpful, as expected from Japanese hotels. Check-in was easy, as was having them arrange transport for my bags to my next hotel on Omisihima Island. Once in the room the hotel further impressed me. The room was decently sized for a Japanese hotel with a gorgeous view of the harbor. The AC provided blessed relief from the heat that had been lingering up until that day I was there as did two cups of tasty citrus snacks provided for free in the room. In the morning the breakfast buffet proved to be excellent, with plenty of options to choose from including delicious seafood, as expected from a seaside hotel. I would have happily stayed another night but I had a bike ride to do."

"Room is clean, staff service good, equipment and facilities looks very new or well maintained, very near train station and bus terminal, next to malls and shops and great view to Fukuyama Castle if you are lucky "

"Fantastic minimalist style hotel overlooking the harbour. Great views from bar and main rooms. On site onsen! The food is absolutely amazing - proper local foods beautifully prepared and presented. Treat yourself to dinner and a breakfast. And the staff are wonderful. Note you will need to use a taxi frequently but that shouldn’t cost more than 1400 yen each way. There are also rooms for those with bikes"

"This location is right next to Saijo station - an excellent place to stay with quick access to Sakagura street to visit all of the sake breweries. My only complaint is there’s only one elevator for the whole hotel so for events like the Saijo Sake Matsuri it takes a long time to get to and from your room, and the breakfast area becomes very crowded. they do have a washer and dryer which I used twice very convenient very efficient. The coffee maker was broken for two of the three days I stayed so that was a bummer. I wish they could’ve given everyone ¥200 to go to the 7-Eleven for coffee or just brew it in the kitchen!"
