The breakfast was good as it provided a base meal for us during our stay each morning. We actually booked double bed deluxe room, but it turned out to be a single-sized bed. We stayed at RM 1110. This is a bit a disappointing.

The location was perfect, right near two major subway lines and surrounded by great shopping. It’s ideal for anyone wanting to stay central on a budget. My room faced a busy street, so there was some noise, but it didn’t bother me much. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a pleasant experience!

The common area may be a bit dated, but the room we stayed in was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to families and friends. The accommodations and staffing were beyond exceptional. We had booked this place after the recommendation of a friend who had stayed here last year and would easily recommend it to new any returning travelers. They are really good a accommodating your needs, and in our case we had a red eye flight and would check in around 0300 which was past their normal check in time but we had reached out and they had someone there to help us, which we were extremely grateful for. The location is unbelievable as you are next to the train station and bus stop which made it easily accessible. Not to mention that the food stalls that come out at night are only a few feet away from the front door, but not close enough that the sound would reach you. Easily would recommend and will definitely be returning in the future.

The location was walkable to Seoul Station, subway and bus stops, and located right by street markets. Rooms are small with wet baths but had everything we needed. Not fancy but they did have free breakfasts. Our room was clean with free washing machines just out the door from our room. We would recommend and would use again.

Its a small space but that was expected. Its exactly as described. Typical all in one combined shower toilet. Very limited space for opening luggage. I had 2 twin beds but placed one luggage on one bed to be able to function and pack. Location is the best part. Ideally in Myeongdong and right near the station and bus stops. Shopping was easier when I could easily drop off bags then go back to shopping. I booked this place as my departure hotel when I did my shopping haul and it worked out well. Except for the maneuvering luggage to pack in the small room. I cant imagine sharing the space with anyone. It was just me and I barely fit comfortably with two check-in bags and a carry-on. Provided breakfast was decent, especially its free. Best seaweed soup I've ever had, I went back for seconds!

We Stayed for 3 nights but only slept 1 night. The Walls are simply paper thin, so we could literally hear neighbors talking, laughing or watching TV till 2-3 am. Only knocking on the walls would help. Please pay extra and stay somewhere else, the location is not worth it. Staff was super Nice though.

This is a great place to stay. Close to subway station Exit 5. Convent to take the Airport Limousine Bus back to Incheon airport, located close to Exit 9 of the subway. The reception area needs new carpet. Either it’s stained really bad or needs cleaning. My room was two twin beds with street and roof top views. The bed is the hardest bed I’ve ever sleep in. I asked for a mattress topper(duvet). It didn’t help so I went across the street and bought two yoga mats. Still was to hard for my hip joint. Staff is friendly. Has a breakfast buffet every day. They will store luggage if you get there too early.

My heart and Seoul

I loved it here!!!!!! It markets itself as a hostel but having stayed at hostels and hotels...it offers far more than any hotel I have stayed at for that price point There are FREE washing machines on each floor with detergent and clothes racks provided. Free breakfast is offered. I have seen some people complain about having to wash your plate but you are getting a free meal ; it is the least you can do. You are going to be washing a plate, cup and cutlery (that's like 3 mins work get over yourselves!) The bathroom has an unusual set up by western standards in that the wet room has your toilet and shower in the same space but its not that deep. Anyone can figure out how to turn the showerhead so that you keep the water getting on the toilet to a minimum. It is also not unique to 57 Myeongdong as have seen this design in Malaysia and Singapore in actual hotels. I cannot wait to return here as the location is crazy central. What more do you want from being right on Myeongdong. The station is 3 - 5 mins walk away and in terms of shops for beauty, food and clothing they are on the doorstep. You go downstairs and turn right and there you are. Shout out to Joon I think who put up with my food questions and to the old man who manned the door when I arrived on Fri 19. When I was going out late he made sure I had the code and checked I could get back in as he wouldnt be there on my return. I miss Seoul

The staff is very friendly especially Cho Joon Lee who works late night and the elderly man who guards the door early morning smiles and wave at me each time i walk out the door or come back. Most of all they respect your privacy. I will definitely stay here again upon my return to Korea.
