Natural light pours into spacious kitchen area with western sunset view, with a glimpse of the Olympics, for one or two people. Eating counter with stools is adjacent to spacious cooking area for conversation and comraderie. Exhaust fan to outdoors and adjustable mood lighting are over counter. Two steps down to cozy bedroom area with queen bed, easy chairs with reading lights and high ceilings. Fully enclosed bath house with hot tub and French doors opening onto side deck on the other side of the house is available to guests; or take a short walk to lake views of Mt. Rainier and the Cascades where there are blocks of elegant homes and gardens from 1920's. Mt. Baker Park , an Olmstead legacy park a block down the hill , has tennis courts and a great kids' playground, A five minute walk takes you to lakefront with supervised beach area, and further down is the Rowing and Sailing Center with boat ramp and sailboat rental. It's on a jogging/bike path extending six miles, ending in Seward Park, a peninsula of original growth forest with its own beach and outdoor summer concerts.
At the corner across from the park, Café Mioposto is open long hours with a full bar. The building has a Pilates studio, hair salon and pet shop. It's a five block walk to grocery store and pharmacy, Light Rail line to airport and downtown. City bus stops in front of the house.
Seattle is known for good bookstores, live music and theatre, and a variety of restaurants, most with outdoor dining in the summer. Gourmands appreciate food sources like the Pike Place Market and weekly neighborhood farmers' markets. Crafters appreciate sources for knitting/weaving yarn (about seven stores in the area), jewelry, quilting and woodworking supplies. Shopaholics love Bellevue Square just across the lake, and the Nordstrom Rack!
Use this property as a base for day trips to outdoor recreation in the greater area, whether mountains or Sound, including Victoria, B.C.; explore the islands of Puget Sound, go to the Lavender Festival or the Bellevue Arts Festival in July, attend the Hydroplane races in August-the course is a few blocks from the house. Relax on long summer nights with sunset views from the studio or the deck, or cozy up to your favorite book or TV inside. Deck chairs provided for sunset views in front of the door in fair weather months.

Perfect if you want to take public transportation into downtown

Enjoyed being close to the light rail station (about .5 miles away), which made it easy to explore Seattle. Had everything we needed for our couple of days in the area.

Clean, cozy and convenient to public transportation

I had a lovely 2 night stay at The Plumb Suite while I was in Seattle for a Red Cross training. It was in a really pretty neighborhood with plenty of on street parking and less than a mile from my class. The studio was spotless and comfortable; it was nice to have a full kitchen. It was also extremely quiet at night and the internet was fast enough for my needs. In the evening it was really nice to have a neighborhood that I could take a long walk in. I also walked to the light rail which was a few blocks away and then it was a short ride to downtown. I am so glad I chose to stay here instead of at a motel. I would definitely stay here again.

Delightful!

My husband and I recently visited Seattle for the first time and we had a great stay in the PlumbSuite. We rented a car and the location was an easy and quick drive into downtown. We also rode the train a couple of times and it was easy and inexpensive! There is a bus stop in front of the house, too. So, lots of transportation options. This is a small, clean and cute apartment. The neighborhood is super nice and quaint. We especially loved walking to the coffee shop on the corner and then taking our coffee to the nearby park and beach. It's very close to Cloumbia City which has a great farmers market, shops, restaurants and bars. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation! The fresh cut yellow roses decorating the nightstand were a special touch! The owner was helpful and available for anything that we needed while giving us total privacy.

Cozy little space, with room for improvements

We enjoyed our stay at this property for the four nights we spent in Seattle. The property is in a great location close to Lake Washington and in a good neighborhood. Although small it was cozy during the warmest time of year in Seattle. There isn't air conditioning but we were able to open some of the windows and there is a fan provided by the owner. When we arrived we noticed was that the larger side windows didn't have screens installed, so we felt uncomfortable opening them during the night. The following night wasn't an issue since it turned rainy and cooler but the next evening was warm again. This would be an easy fix for cooling. The issue that caused us anxiety about the place is the lack of good parking. The owner discloses this at booking that it is necessary to park your car around the block on the next street Apparently the neighbors on 37th Lane know this is a vacation rental because when we arrived and parked there, the neighbor around the corner was glaring at us, and made sure to park a car in the place we were the next day, causing us to park further down 37th. The parking is the only really negative issue of this rental. It would take some expense, but the owner could easily relocate the wooden picket fence adjacent to the entry door, level out the area for a vehicle, and install one of those little garden retaining walls to hold back the sloping yard from the front. This would increase the overall desirability and value of this property extremely well. The refrigerator outlet is connected to the kitchen gfci outlet. The gfci tripped during the night for some reason. We had earlier placed our leftover Chinese food in there. We left in the morning and by the time we returned at the end of the day, our food had spoiled. This was a real downer as it was great chinese food and we were looking forward to eating it for dinner. The refrigerator should have its own circuit to prevent this. Another electrical issue is the timer fan switch in the bathroom doesn't work. The placement of the sitting chairs are on the same side as the tv, it would be more functional if they were on the other side. The provided coffee maker is extremely small and was dirty inside. A new coffeemaker would be a great addition as we missed our waking coffee while traveling. With these changes it would be a 5 star rental as it's cozy, very nice, and great location. We would recommend most highly with these improvements and also stay again ourselves.

Fantastic

The studio was a described in the pictures. I did not use the hot tub as I was too busy, Suzanna was friendly, responsive and easy to communicate with. Her studio is about 5 houses up from Mt Baker Community Building where my training was being held. The location is great neighborhood families, dogs, a park close by and a short walk to Washington Lake. Restaurants are close and the food is good. I enjoyed my stay would recommend this VRBO .

Plumb Suite is fabulous!

Plumb suite was wonderful. Cute and cozy. Everything you want is at your fingertips here. The hot tub was so relaxing. We used it a lot! Suzanna is a very nice, pleasant woman. I enjoyed our chats out in the yard. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood is nice. Bus stop is right at the house. The sunsets are gorgeous! Any questions we had Suzanna was prompt to answer. I highly recommend staying here. Suzanna, thank you so much for renting to us. We had such a great stay! Your hospitality was wonderful.

Great for a short stay

This is an ideal place for a short stay. We came up for a weekend to see a concert and this place was perfect. Close to lumen field as well. The only negative is the parking, but that is noted in the listing so it wasn’t a surprise.

Great home away from home

Thanks for a great place to call home while in Seattle for work. The neighborhood was great and the space was perfect. It is a small space perfect for one or two people. The neighborhood restaurant is just a walk down the block and has great food. Lake Washington is just another couple blocks down from there!

Hidden Gem

This cozy space was perfect for my fiancee and I for a few days. Less than a 2 minute walk leads you to an intersection with a restaurant, with a beautiful park on the other side of the street. Park paths then lead to lake Washington. Hot tub was perfect. Will definitely be staying here again if we're in Seattle again.

Lovely studio apartment nestled in a serene setting

This small efficiency has everything we needed. It was clean, quiet, and aptly equipped with the creature comforts we needed to enjoy a quiet retreat. Only a short walking dissuade from neighborhood restaurants and shops, we were able to fully embrace our experience here. Also quite close to public transportation, so we had no trouble getting to downtown Seattle. Would definitely recommend this one. Also, the host, Suzanne, was super pleasant to communicate with and very accommodating. Five stars!

Great place for a quick trip

Actual space is well equipped and cozy. Was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and this was a great place for us as we were in and out of the apartment very briefly as we were gone most of the day. Easy in and out to downtown and the surrounding area and there’s a great little restaurant just down the street. Felt a little uncomfortable and unprepared that the hot tub and deck are not attached to the apartment but inside of the yard next to the hosts house. You also need to request to use the hot tub and washer/dryer and they’re not freely available.

What a neat little place to stay.

This is a wonderful guest suite to stay in, if you are going to Seattle. Nice neighborhood, clean apartment and very nice host. I really dont have a bad thing to say about this place, except that I could never get the TV to hook up with the server.....but we spent so much time walking around, that we did not miss the TV at all.
