Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. "Good clean room. Bathroom looked as if it had been recently refurbished and was immaculate. A bigger bath mat in the shower cubicle would be advisable as the floor does get slightly slippy. Air con would have been useful, especially in the recent hot weather. Breakfasts were good but took a long time to arrive."

"Staff were great on arrival, very friendly and helpful. The lobby itself looks nice and modern, however the rooms themselves are very tired and in need of refurbishment. The sofa in particular was threadbare in places with some very off putting stains. The pool / spa area was disappointing, very dark & dingy and extremely dirty. Having said that, location was good in order to get to the channel tunnel. Would only stay here again if there weren’t spaces at major / well known hotel brands."

"Disappointing stay overall. The room was extremely small, very hot, and the shower had poor water pressure. The room faced the street, so opening the window resulted in a lot of noise from outside. I requested a room change due to these issues, but the hotel was unable or unwilling to accommodate the request. The corridor to the room was also very low in places. Unfortunately, this was not a comfortable or enjoyable stay, and I would not choose to stay here again."

"Staff were amazing, so helpful and accommodating The room was super clean, modern and looked v new Breakfast was very varied and my young son was very excited by the waffle machines ! Parking was easy maybe a touch expensive as we were there 3 days but it was directly outside so easy to park and get into the hotel All in all a very good stay and would definitely recommend"
