We had an amazing view over the harbour. Our fourth visit to Tall Storeys. Ian and Morna are the perfect hosts. The place is immaculate and in a way that totally befits the age and style of Tall Storeys. Can’t overegg the welcome and hospitality we receive when we go there. They are attentive and so kind, but not overpowering. Ian cooks the best classy breakfast in Scarborough, and Morna attends you with graceful aplomb. Our favourite go to place in Scarborough and so well located for easy walking access to South Beach and elsewhere. Can’t rate this place highly enough.

Great location and rooms.

Spotless rooms and great breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Good location in the old town inbetween the front and the castle. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay!

Another excellent stay at Tall Storeys, A superb breakfast cooked by Ian and served by Morna who makes you seem part of the family when you stay there making your trip pleasant and memorable, they both make you welcome, and we cannot wait to rebook again in the future!

Very friendly guest house

The room was very cosy and had everything you could possibly want in. The breakfast was lovely and the hosts could not do enough for you. Will definitely stay there again but hopefully next time will be able to book one of the four poster rooms with a lovely sea view.

It is a period property with friendly & welcoming hosts. The full English breakfast is cooked to order from local produce. Which is amazing. Perfect to stay and relax and enjoy Scarborough harbour and beach.

Amazing little place

Greeted on arrival by one of the owners, we had the attic rooms at the top which was 2 rooms and bathroom, the room at the back had an amazing view over Scarborough, rooms were very clean, cooked breakfast was freshly made for each person, lots of other choices as well, I am gluten free and they provided lots of choice, tall storeys is a few minutes from the sea front, I would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again, thank you for a lovely stay.

Location is central for North or South bays. Close to the castle on a quiet road. Breakfast was lovely and is set out on individual tables for each room. Handy for the cricket.

Perfect stay

A lovely bedroom with a 4 poster bed overlooking the harbour. Everything you could possibly need in your room. A very friendly and welcoming couple who run the guest house. A really good breakfast in the morning to help set you up for the day. We would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend to all our friends.

Great hotel!

Lovely hotel close to Scarborough sea front and a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Wonderful hosts, nothing too much trouble. Excellent full English breakfast! Booked a sea view with a four poster bed, room had lots of character with everything we needed. Didn’t hear any noise from other guests. The hotel even has a beautiful garden to relax in. Can’t wait until our next visit.

Better Than A Home From Home

Our hosts Morna and Ian provided an excellent standard of service. Breakfasts were delicious, healthy and lovingly cooked and were a looked forward to part of every morning. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean with amazing sea views. There was a comfortable lounge to relax in and the garden was a delight to stroll through. My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend Tall Storeys to other people.

Exceptional hotel and service

We had an excellent stay over, room was comfortable and cool considering the heat (trees opposite kept direct sunlight away and allowed a cool breeze). Car parking on street not an issue and our hosts provided us with permits to cover our stay so no parking tickets. Breakfast was first class and the service was second to none and could not be faulted. Our hosts Ian and Mona were very friendly it was a pleasure to stay there and to meet them. Would recommend Tall Storeys to anyone visiting Scarbough and surrounding area.

Great stay

Lovely place well named lots of stairs Hosts are charming small place so never over run or rushed at breakfast time . Close to hatbour beach shops pubs etc just a few mins walk down the hill but omg bit longer on way back up need plenty puff
