Family Spring Break

The home was fantastic! The location was 5-10 minutes from two beach towns with a ton of restaurant options and stunning sunsets. The pool is phenomenal and the entire home is designed to comfortably handle 10 adults/kids and would be an incredible place to entertain. Simply great experience!

We travel frequently, and this is one of the most beautiful homes we've ever rented. It's breathtaking. The gorgeous setting, views, pool and interior decor made it difficult to want to leave the house for tours or beach time. (but we did of course!) The Playa Hermosa and Playa Panama beaches just minutes away were quiet and safe for our three little monkeys (grandchildren) to romp in the surf. Concierge service was excellent and prompt to help. The chef they recommended for a couple of suppers-in was superb. I think my highlights of the house itself were the tropical flora and fauna murals in various places on a wall or ceiling and at the pool house, plus the Boruca mask collection. Accessing the property, a rental car with all wheel drive is highly recommended. The steep entrance driveway to the community is a bear when the pavement is wet!

The Palms

The Palms house is decadent, amazing and uber clean. Stunning views, spotless pool, tons of rooms and all the kitchen items needed to make meals. We loved our stay and was more than needed for four adults and a teenage son.

Amazing Getaway

This was our first time to Costa Rica and we loved it! Our family of 10 really enjoyed our stay at The Palms. The views are incredible and we loved sitting out on the balconies enjoying coffee and breakfast, watching the town and the bay come to life. The pool is gorgeous and just what you need for a break from the heat - day and night. The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need, the bedrooms are large and comfortable, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The Zindis team was very friendly, helped us get settled in, helped to arrange excursions and was quick to resolve any minor issues we had. Would love to come back again!

The Palms

The Palms was an amazing family getaway location. Enough room for everyone and location was great. Although we did not venture outside of Guanacaste Province, there is plenty to do! With 4 beaches within 15 minutes and the Rincón Vieja at a short hour and 15 min, this property delivered a fantastic and relaxing time for all. Thank you Martha and Zindis!

An Amazing experience

We had a fabulous time staying on this absolutely beautiful property!! We had a chef come to the house which has the perfect kitchen with 6 of us adults watching them cook for us which was an amazing dinner!! Also, the view of the ocean was spectacular along with the outstanding huge pool over looking the mountains and ocean. The monkeys were swinging in the trees next to us!! The house is very clean with beautiful paintings and sculptures all through out the house!! Lots of space for my adult kids to have their own space!! I would definitely recommend this property!!

Simply amazing!

My fiancé and I came to Costa Rica to get married and stay at this wonderful house. It was amazing - had everything we needed and of course the view was absolutely breathtaking. Loved seeing monkeys from our patio and having coffee every morning on the rocking chairs overlooking the water. Zindis was very helpful and responsive leading up and during our visit. Would come back in a heartbeat!

I really can’t do this house justice in a review. The view floored me every time we walked in the house or woke up and looked out the window. It’s perfect for large or multiple families. It’s in a great location and a beautiful safe, quiet neighborhood. The best part of this rental though is the property management company. They have outstanding service. They booked everything from adventures to massages to a personal chef for us. They even arranged our rental car. We had the vacation of a lifetime here.

Beautiful & spacious

The house was gorgeous and large enough for 3 families to fit comfortably. Milena at Zindis was so nice and helpful. Lots of amenities. The only issues we had were that the hot water didn’t last long and there was none at all in the downstairs master bathroom. I would also recommend everyone be extra careful because the marble floors around the decks and pools are incredibly slippery. We had one adult slip and hit his head. I would definitely stay again and had an absolute blast relaxing in the spacious pool with an amazing view!

Beautiful, amazing and private

This property is over the top even if it was in the USA.. Martha has decorated her home 5 star. From the moment you walk in you will be awestruck. The kitchen allows everyone to work together on the cooking .Real fun .The view is amazing and you could just sit on the deck and look out all day or sip wine and relax. The pool area is beautiful. If you go here you will not in any way be dissapointed. We will return. The service on all needs was promptly met . We had a large family of Monkeys living in the trees to the right of the pool view. Three king beds made everyone feel Royal. Twin beds for grand kids made it perfect in room next to mom and dad. Dave and Joyce J.

Great view!

Loved the house. Steep drive to get to the home but well worth it for the view. House was very expansive and all bedrooms very private. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we appreciated the filtered water at the sink and the little countertop ice maker. Could use a few new pool inflatables as most leaked air. Beach towels were provided as well as coolers in the garage. We never used the tv, but noticed the surround sound and big library of movies. Also liked the board games. Pool and hot tub were nice. Note the hot tub was on a timer that only came on in the evening. People staying with young children or older adults will need to pay extra attention on the spiral staircase to the pool and the area that drops off behind the pool chairs at the back of the pool. This was a wonderful well appointed home with awesome views and lots of extras. We were under the impression that it was a short walk to the beach, but that was not the case. We might have misread the description. Also, while you could control the ac units in the bedrooms, the main living area upstairs was set at 82 and we could not adjust it. Our group was okay with it so we did not call about it, but that might be a bit warm for some. All rooms had ceiling fans though including the outdoor patio. We felt very safe at this location and there was a friendly security guard at the gate. Would definitely stay again.

Nice place but needs some Maintenance

Beautiful property and grounds. The house has plenty of room and is true to description. The problems we experienced were partially due to weather and upkeep. We noticed the pool was filthy and cloudy with algae during our check-in process. The property manager said they had just had a checkout and would send the pool guy in the morning. After multiple calls to the property manager and visits from the pool cleaners, we could finally swim on our 3rd evening. The pool was one of the main features we looked for in booking and could not use it for 50% of our stay. It was rainy season so when it rained hard the water would enter the living room and master bedrooms because the weather stripping was worn on the doors. This also allowed the bugs to come in through door seals. The rain popped multiple circuit breakers throughout the stay including the master bedroom air conditioning which did not work well after resetting all the tripped breakers. There were a few other issues that just needed maintenance and upkeep but I would share those with the owner. The Zindis concierge was helpful and great to work with, a plus with this property.

Beautiful home with an awesome view

We booked this home for a family vacation to celebrate my daughter’s 40th birthday, and grandsons’s first birthday. What a dream!! When you walk in the house, you are instantly met with the most incredible view. We literally could not get enough of it! We spent a ton of time outside soaking it all in. The house itself is spacious, and stunning. The kitchen was enormous, and fit for a chef. We traveled with 9 adults and 2 small children, and there was ample space for everyone. The house is equipped with everything you might need: beach towels, chairs, a cooler, floats, a beach umbrella, you name it! The location was great. It was close to the airport, in a gated community, and Coco Beach and the grocery store were 10 minutes away. There were tons of other beaches, and tropical adventures within an hour drive. We cooked in several nights, enjoyed the pool with the breathtaking view, and spent some fabulous time together as a family. The concierge Frazer was so helpful, and responsive with all of our trip planning prior to our arrival, and so gracious once we arrived. When we couldn’t figure out how to set up the portable crib, he was back at the house in minutes helping us out. Visits from the monkeys in the trees off the balcony was pretty incredible too! This house made the trip extra special! Pura Vida!

Beautiful house but lacking a few basics

As anyone can see from the pictures, this house is beautiful. Costa Rica is a very poor country with lots of tiny one room houses surrounded by security bars and barbed wire so this house with the security system and security gate was definitely an oasis for us where we felt safe. Everyone is different in what they want and expect in a vacation home. If you are traveling with no children and want luxury and beautiful views...this house is for you. It is absolutely stunning...however, I would have preferred a little less luxury and a few more basic comfort items. We were limited to 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towels. There was not a hair dryer in the house so be sure to pack one. We had plenty of bath towels but only one hand towel and no wash rags. There were two coffee pots, but both of them sucked...they brought us a new one but it was too small, so we had to buy vinegar to run through the large one to clean it. When they say you will be charged for extra electricity...they mean it! We turned the air up every time we left the house and basically only turned it down when we were there. They allow 1400 kw per week for a 7,000 sq ft. house, but to be fair, they do state this in their contract...I just didn't pay that much attention because I really had no idea what 1400 kw would get me for a week in a very large house...my mistake. I wouldn't even consider bringing small children here. There was tile/marble everywhere inside and out...very beautiful, but also very slippery. We were there at the beginning of rainy season so slipping on the tile was definitely a concern. The decor was also beautiful, but again, not for children. One of the men in our party walked by an end table and barely grazed it making the glass top wobble and the large sculpture almost fall over...we caught it in time, but very scary to think about small children running around. Also, the outside spiraling staircase had a handrail, but nothing between the bars to keep small children from falling right out...add that to the slippery tile steps and it is alarming to think about. I know that all the reviews on this property were just glowing and there is no doubt that this house is beautiful. If you are looking for luxury and amazing views for adults...this is the house for you...but don't forget to pack a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, extra toilet paper, laundry detergent and don't forget your mosquito repellant!

House was amazing and the view was jaw dropping! Pictures online did not come close to what this looked like in person. Location was great and pretty central for shopping, restaurants, local fishing and several local beaches - all about 10 to 15 minutes away. House is also in a very secure gated community. Only thing we didn’t get to see were the little white faced monkeys, despite several early morning trips to the recommended beach in search of them. Zindis did a nice job of helping us book excursions, provided an itinerary for the week and sent reminders each evening of what we had on the schedule for the next day. Would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a place to relax as well as go out to see the country.

The villa was better than advertised!!! The pictures do not do it justice! We had 3 kids and 5 adults with plenty of room. The view is amazing and likely the best in the area. The location is excellent and gated with an armed guard. I felt safe with my family and I am very protective. We had difficulty with our travel days and the owners allowed us to stay an extra night at no cost. Very gracious!!! We did all the things while there: a 4 wheeler tour, surfing, water falls, hot springs, swinging bridges, sloths, riding horses on the beach, fishing charter, and of course private chef’s which was our favorite and recommended by Zindis, the property management group who host the villa. A pro tip for anyone looking fo white faced monkeys in the area…. They show up near the market behind the RIU in Montapalo every morning between 9 and 10 local time. They are out of our hands and crawled all over you if you let them

amazing trip and unbeatable view

We had a group of 8 stay and there was ample space for everyone. The pictures do not do this house and view justice. The location was perfect for us and was quiet at the house but close to restaurants and activities for all. The house manager Alex and the concierge staff were all wonderful and very prompt in response time and communication. I would definitely recommend, and we are actively looking into when we can come back and enjoy again!

Stunning view!

We had a party of 8 staying for 10 days. The property is beautiful. We were visited by howler monkeys several times. We loved the artwork and furnishings throughout the house and always felt secure. We enjoyed a number of the local beaches (Panama was our favorite). We packed in many adventures including Diamante adventure park, a river cruise, waterfall and volcano hikes, snorkeling and boating tour to name a few. And the food was delicious no matter where we ate. In the evenings, we enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The only issue with the property was that the pool had not been cleaned when we first checked in and the hot tub was not working. Both of those were addressed by the following day by Zindis. The hot tub stopped working a second time midweek, but was again handled by Zindis the next day. Overall a great trip and we will surely miss the incredible view!

Family Vacation

We loved our stay at The Palms. The house was the perfect size for our party of seven. The view is unbelievable and the property is gorgeous. We took two tours through Matt’s Fishing and Tours and had at meal prepared at the house by Chef at Home CR. Everything exceeded our expectations and we created lasting memories for our family. We did rent two 4WD cars from Adobe Rental and it was really nice being able to explore on our own and travel to the different beaches in the area. The only issue we had was we did not have water on our last day. The management company was easy to get ahold of and came over right away but was unable to get the water back on before we checked out. I would definitely book this property again if we ever make it back to Costa Rica.
