THIS WAS THE WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER STAYED. WE ENDED UP LEAVING AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT. The reception staff was very rude. They couldn't find our second room and basically were dismissive, if i had not insisted they keep looking (they work off of printed reservations) they would have made us stay in one room. They were all annoyed with any questions we had. Only thing to eat in between lunch and dinner were nasty hamburgers and hot dogs. Served drinks in kiddy cups. Only restaurant available to eat breakfast lunch or dinner was at the buffet. Food at the buffet seemed to be frozen reheated meals. No fruit and desserts that looked pretty but no flavor. Rooms wer old and outdated and dirty and stinky. We all got food poisoning the first night. We tried to call reception and nobody would answer. Security finally got ahold of a nurse who told him she would come to our room since my cousin was the first to get violently sick, then my son and i followed. Nurse told us they would not give us any medicine, not even Pepto bismol or alka zelter. Our choice was to have her make us an appointment the next day or wait until the morning for their gift shop to purchase the Pepto Bismol. She suggested in the mean time for us to go to the bar and get some mineral water with lemon. When i went to the bar to ask for a can of mineral water, I was firsr denied told they could only give me some i their kiddy cup. After I insisted the bartender the can. Rediculous!!!

Need to update buffet, guest service, and rooms. The rooms are not updated and appear to be very old with old drawers in the restroom. Better choices for snacks especially for kids. Maybe add pizza as an option. Also, more choices in alcohol. For example, they only had two tequilasOne of them being cuervo. I expected a little more

Please read! As a native from El Salvador I always wanted to stay at DeCameron but regret it! From check in to check out; I wish I workout have stayed elsewhere. Just thinking about the meals makes me feel 😤.

This is my first negative review, from places I’ve stayed. Things I didn’t like; The check in took 3hours to get a dirty room. The room, the website says one thing and another thing once inside. More than half the staff was not friendly, seems they don’t want to be there. I’m sorry but it was experience, talking to other people they were complaining of the same issues. The only thing I loved were the iguanas roaming the gardens. Will not return, I’m 😢

The pools were great and the waterslides were fun. There was little to no entertainment during the day. The only scheduled activity that was actioned was BINGO. However, there was very few staff members that could speak any English, so we could not even participate in that. The property was beautiful and well kept, but everything was spread out and very far from our room. We were told by another guest that upon check in, he was advised in Spanish that there would be golf carts travelling back and forth every day that would pick up guests. However, we did not see a single one. This same guest also informed us that there were snacks provided between meals and where to find them. As English speaking guests, we were not informed of snacks at all; only the buffet hours of operation. The food at the buffet was not great. Only two a la carte restaurants we open each night and the reservations were very hard to get. The elevator in tower 4 was broken twice during our stay. When it was time to check out, we had to carry our suitcases down the stairs from level 5. Overall, we had an okay stay, but will not return.

I didn't expect too much in this resort because El Salvador is not big on all inclusive resort compare to other countries. Check in process is not well organize, remember you cannot go inside the resort until few minutes before 3pm you have set in your car outside the resort. Check in process took about 30 minutes, we had 3 luggages nobody help us to bring in our room which is far from the main lobby. If you can't speak spanish you have a problem with communication, only few staff can speak english in this resort. The room we book for superior see view king bed which is the most expensive room and its located at tower 4. The view is perfect, facing the swimming pool and ocean whichnis fantastic. The room has mini fridge empty, they give you 1 big water bottle a day, 1 little shampoo, conditioner and 1 bar soap, we ask the cleaning lady for extras so they give us more. The room is very basic but is really big with 2 extra single bed. The balcony is also big. Overall we are happy about the room, the most important to me is the cleanliness. No kleenex in the room. The property is well maintained, its very beautiful compare to other resort that i been to. There are 2 big swimming pool plus the kids pool with the slides. The food in the restaurant is good enough for me. No coffe shop in this resort. You can go in the main lobby in the morning for coffee and some bread. The drinks is good enough for me as im not a big drinker.
