Lakefront 3-BR Home Summer and Winter Getaways close to Sports Force

This house is located on the peninsula and approximately 3 miles from Cedar Point Amusement Park and 2 miles from Sports Force. The property has wonderful views of Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay (a deck at the end of the lane provides a nice place to enjoy fishing and sunsets over the bay) where you could enjoy fishing.

Cedar Points public beach is a great place to enjoy swimming, jet ski rentals, paddle boards and parasailing.

This two story home features a wall of sliding glass doors on the second floor to provide stunning morning views of Lake Erie. There is a large family room on the upper and lower level both with 42 inch TVs. The upper primary bedroom has a king bed and shares a full bath with Tub. The first floor primary has a private bathroom and a queen bed. The second floor has an additional bedroom with four twin beds a full bathroom and a second family room.

There are two decks on which you can enjoy your meals, drinks, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There is a gas grille on the deck right outside the kitchen patio door.

The kitchen is well-equipped. Linens for bedrooms and baths are provided for your use.

Lakefront stay

We stayed at Doug’s property overnight while we were in town for a Baptism. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of space for us to spread out. The view of the lake is beautiful! The neighborhood is very nice. Wouldn’t mind staying here again in the warm weather.

Beautiful view

Very convenient location to Cedar Point. The views are beautiful from the balcony. Found everything we needed for our stay. We stayed with our grandchildren who are tweens, they loved that they had their own space. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay

The house was fantastic and the location beautiful. I think 8 is a good max on the number of people because anymore and it would get way cramped, but our 6 adults enjoyed the space immensely.

Not good for fishing.

I asked the owner about access to the lake for fishing before renting, he said there was access, which was true, but what I didn’t know was he has two houses side by side and told both houses they could fish in the same spot that would not accommodate both families. That part was very disappointing.

Convention reprieve

We had a busy convention held at Kalahari for our daughters. This place was the quiet we needed to unwind and spend family time together. The view was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable! We really appreciated having the small amenities (washer dryer with soap, stain spray, dish soap, dishwasher soap, etc) and cannot wait to come back again!

Great vacation home

The home is as advertised. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. The waterfront views are gorgeous. Location is great. Not far from major stores, food and the amusement park. Doug was a great host. He provided great communication throughout our stay. Looking forward to returning

Cleaning fee was unnecessary

We stayed barely 2 days, and did not cook anything. Yet the cleaning fee was very high. They had nothing to clean but strip the bed and wash sheets and towels.

Not at all as advertised. So dirty that I bought cleaning supplies to clean for the one night we stayed. Left early. Asked owner for refund and he said if I wanted to stay at a place in mint condition, that would cost 800. Not true, found a different property to stay at in same area for less than his rate. Hair all over - even on clean towels - vents were disgusting and two of my kids woke up coughing. Daughter got was bitten on the arm three times overnight by something in the sheets. Dirty towels left in washing machine.

Felt the photos were a bit misleading. The house is nestled around a few other homes down a lane. There is just the front yard, no backyard bayside view. Room pics must have been taken when the property was first listed. There’s been some wear.

Left out in the cold

We didn't get to stay here. Even though we had a reservation and paid in full 1 month before. Our friends arrived first and called to tell us someone was already staying there. Property Owner had neglected to adequately monitor property calendar during a system calendar migration and notice 2 reservations, 2 payments.... This was even after some messages with him 1-2 weeks before arrival. We were two hours from home, $400 of food for a long weekend, and no where to go. The best he could do was refund us (2-4 days processing before we can get that money back. Verify your reservations specifically... it seems owners are not really paying attention and/or do not have appropriate staffing to monitor reservations, calendars, and payments.

Relaxing location by the lake

Great weekend spot for meet up location with friends. Great table for games & deck and balcony were good outdoor spaces with great views. Quiet neighborhood and close to Sandusky for restaurants. Communication with host was smooth all the way from booking to checkout.

We had a very nice stay at this home and enjoyed our trip. The view is spectacular especially from the second floor.However, whoever cleans this house needs more direction on the following areas. The first floor toilet by the washer and dryer does not flush and needs new inner workings. The kitchen and both shower spouts had an abundant layer of mold on them, which we cleaned. The kitchen faucet base still had the original tape on it which kept flaking off. The coffee pot was clean on the outside, but the inside had built up residue which we had to scrape off. There was alot of black mold underneath the rim of the upstairs shower. Under ALL toilet rims looked like they had not been cleaned in months. We cleaned all of these on the first day. The top of the refrigerator was loaded with dead insects and a pretty substantial layer of dust. There were crumbs (and puzzle pieces) on the floors and underneath tables. Once we cleaned, we truly enjoyed our stay. Doug, thank you for reaching out to us the day of our arrival. We were having computer issues and could not respond. McAfee fixed our issues the second day of our stay. These issues were not the fault of the property.
