The location is great very quiet and is just fantastic for it's proximity to the basin walk the boat ramp and the shops

Sanctuary by name: sanctuary by nature!

I stayed here in December 2024 & absolutely adored it! It's a lovely house that is beautifully furnished & super comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked & suitable for entertaining, with lots of space, kitchenware & excellent appliances. The bathroom is freshly renovated with a luxe rainfall shower & modern washing machine. The lounge is spacious, with big leather couches, TV & large marble table that seats 6+. Then there is another living area at the back, which is fully enclosed with screens. It has another large table & plenty of seating, & it looks out over the garden, the nature reserve & the water. The bed I slept in was really really comfy, with high-quality linens & perfect mattress. I slept better than I do in my own bed at home! There's plenty of parking, & the property is on a quiet street. But by far the highlight for me was the location. There were wallabies on the lawn when I got there, & bandicoots at night. An extraordinary range of birds, and the peaceful sounds of nature all around. Literally right at the back door there is a sturdy walking path along the water, which made it very very easy to get out there & enjoy the reserve every day. Watching the sun set over water, surrounded by ducks & swans & pelicans was a particular highlight - less than 100m from the house! The hosts were very helpful & professional, the locals were friendly & there are plenty of shops nearby. Nearby there are many attractions & lots to see & do. Highly recommend!

Great place

Great location backing onto the bay, with walking tracks right out the back gate. Huge back yard that our dogs loved. Nice renovated house with all the conveniences.

Great location on the lake.

Good points: Access to lake from fully fenced back yard. Large sunroom great for rainy days. Netflix & WiFi. New bedding/linen & spacious new lounge. Lots of friendly native wildlife. Bad points: Unfortunately the property is a half finished DIY project. The one bathroom has no mirror or towel rails. The free hanging bathroom door is NOT SUITABLE, large gaps when closed, no usable lock, no sound barrier! The small above counter sink is too high for children, a step is required but not provided. The original 1930's bedroom wardrobes are not suitable for hanging dresses or storing clothes as musty smelling. Inadequate window coverings in 2 bedrooms. Fly screens in sunroom torn in some places. Backyard with multiple pieces or rusting metal sheeting & rusty trailer. Other sorts of rubbish left in yard that is accessible to kids & pets.
