Staff were super friendly and access to the property was so easy. Great coffee and juice bar at your doorstep and a short 2 minute walk to the lake with stunning views of the volcanoes. Loved the yoga classes and gardens. The room was clean and well serviced with everything we could need, the kitchen was great for making our dinner and it all worked seamlessly. Thank you so much Sarnai, cant wait to come back.

Great service and very nice apartment, right in the center of San Marcos. Axwell was amazing, he escorted us to our apartment and helped with our luggage and was available through text before and during our arrival to help with questions and to coordinating our stay. Definitely recommend to book at Sarnai!

Absolutely loved staying here. Everything in the room was perfect, from the bed, bathroom, and even having filtered water. The large windows with the natural light really made it feel so amazing. I will be staying here next time I come to visit. Oh and having the amazing rooftop and doing a yoga class up there was just incredible.

Clean and bright

Condo was clean and it was great to have drinkable water on tap. It’s a very bright unit with windows all around so you’ll be up early with the daylight. The shower was nice and the property felt very safe.

Unforgettable Stay

This stunning property on the Lake is a slice of paradise. Surrounded by volcanoes and lush gardens, the views are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere is unmatched. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, blending comfort with local charm. The private dock and activities like kayaking made our stay unforgettable. Sarnai is amazing! From arrival to departure. Easy and smooth. Everything looked clean, cozy, comfortable and provided everything that is needed. It is a great stay in such a beautiful part of the world. It is evident the host has put attention, care and awareness into this place. Everything is great from the vibes, views to the surrounding nature. I particularly like that each room has it's "own name". Sarnai is highly, highly recommended, one of my new favorite places.

Sarnai is a gem. Located 2-3 min walking distance from everything. Location is prime. Harsimar is fantastic host, he was fast on replying and offering solutions to my questions. Room was clean and big. There's a rooftop that you can chill, do yoga, have your coffee or drink with lake and volcano view. Highly recommended.

I came to Sarnai hoping for a peaceful and restorative stay, but unfortunately the experience did not match what was advertised. The biggest issue was the misrepresentation of the environment. The photos online show a serene natural setting with nature views, but in reality the entire complex is currently a large construction site. There was constant drilling, hammering, and workers walking directly outside my room from morning until late afternoon. This was not “minimal noise” as the hotel told me before arrival — it was heavy construction that made it impossible to rest or spend time in the room. I also booked a more expensive unit specifically for a partial lake view, but the only view from my casita was a building under construction. No lake view at all. Although the hotel emailed a construction notice after I had already booked, I was reassured that the disturbance would be small and there was no heavy machinery. This did not reflect the reality on-site. It’s also important to note that the entire area is being developed into multiple new houses/apartments, which will significantly reduce privacy and natural space in the near future. The current images online do not reflect this ongoing transformation. The staff were polite, but the conditions are simply not what is presented online. If you are looking for peace, nature, or privacy, I recommend checking carefully before booking, as the construction significantly affects the overall experience.

I enjoyed my stay at Sarnai. It is located within walking distance from town. The rooftop area was very peaceful for morning coffee and yoga. You can’t beat the greenery and lake views. The host was easy to communicate with.

Worst place I’ve ever been so bad that I do not think I will be returning to Guatemala in a while. The property manager has to be the most disrespectful and disgusting person I’ve met. We paid for airport service and because his driver was an hour late, and I questioned where he was he refused to take us because we were rushing him and when we notified the manager and asked for a refund he refused to give us a refund as well. On top of the place was dirty with stains. On and off hot water and sometimes no water at all. DO NOT COME HERE. Save your money please
