One of the highlights of my stay was enjoying the breakfast buffet each morning while facing the beach. The view is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, a great way to start the day.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, I do hope the upgrades include more dining options onsite. While they have a small market with Starbucks-style offerings—coffee, bagels, quick snacks—it would be ideal to have at least one or two full-service restaurant options for lunch and dinner.
Inside the casino, I was surprised by the (none) lack of poker tables. Poker is hugely popular and would absolutely draw in more customers. Currently, there are only two blackjack tables and NO craps table. Adding these games—and offering dancing or live music in the evenings—would transform the energy of the space and boost revenue. For comparison, the Sheraton offers live bands, dancing, poker, blackjack, craps, and a bustling casino experience five nights a week. That place is vibrant and fun, while the Marriott feels more geared toward families. That’s great during the day, but once kids go to bed, adults want to enjoy their night out—dancing, eating, socializing, and gaming—without having to leave the hotel. That would benefit both the guests and the Marriott’s bottom line.
Parking is another area that could be more guest-friendly. Charging $25 a night for hotel guests seems steep. A more reasonable rate would be $15 for guests, while charging $30 for non-guests makes sense.
