My husband and I stayed here. I’m very big on history and It was good to stay in a place where it felt like walking back in time. It was cozy, and conveniently close to good spots to eat.

To start off, the property address on details shows a different address after confirmed booking. They send the correct address once check in will happen. That’s confusing if multiple people will be staying at the property since the correct address is sent to the person who booked. Secondly, as soon as you walk in, there is a nasty stench, not sure if it’s mold or smoke. However, it isn’t pleasant. Third, there’s no elevator, so having luggage and/or an elderly person will be excruciating on having to go up the flight of stairs. More over, there’s no parking, they do suggest some parking but it’s 5-10 mins away. Which should be listed on the details and information. To continue, once we finally made it into the Airbnb, there was sand everywhere and it was not properly clean. They visually cleaned trash but no broom or mop was used or anything wiped down. To make matters worse, it’s listed that’s there’s WiFi but there definitely was no WiFi. They make an excuse as if they send a technician to fix it and when it’s not fixed, they state it’s a provider issue. Honestly the worse part of the trip was not having WiFi because that also affected the TV which needs a network to function. Due to no proper ventilation, the AC leaks and drips water onto the floor. However, nothing beats the puddle and water leakage when it rains. There’s a hole on the wall that drips water. We had to put multiple towels to avoid from it spreading everywhere. Property isn’t taken care of. Don’t book

first room didn’t have hot water, felt more like a dorm. They were very quick to respond to accommodate and move to another. the location couldn’t have been better. It is old San Juan so I do understand but getting off a plane to cold water stinks. Beautiful place and kind people, and parking right across the street.

The place is great and in a perfect location. it's under construction, so I couldn't give it a five star. Still a great place to stay. Seeing a preview of what they are building, this place is going to be awesome in the near future.

The property maintained the history and culture of Old San Juan while still providing the modern comforts we enjoy today. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cultural experience.

I had an issue with my first room , staff was attentive , responded quickly and issue was resolved. The location is great! Dinning and Shopping all around. Communication with the staff was quest, quick response. I will definitely be staying here again.

Besides the WiFi situation, the place was phenomenal! Customer service was at 100%. The location was in the middle of everything. The room was so beautiful and clean! I will definitely stay again next time!

This is one of my favorite stays to date! Such a beautiful apartment located in a charming, historic building in Viejo San Juan. The WiFi did not work while we were there, but we didn’t really need it anyway. The staff with the Stay with Bear team were incredibly responsive and attentive while providing solutions and accommodations regarding the WiFi issue. Overall this was a wonderful stay and I would absolutely book again!

Apartment was in a great location and a quick walk to lots of shops, food, cafes, bars, etc. Host was very helpful, provided all info we needed to get checked in, and was quick to respond to messages. There is no elevator or parking, but we knew that in advance and had no issues. Overall, this was the perfect place for our trip.

This apartment is in a central location in San Juan. Walking distance to restaurants and shops made it very easy to get around with a toddler. The apt. was very clean and spacious. Very quick response by management when needed. We will be staying at this property again.

The apt is beautiful. But the building is still being “built up” There was a power outage and no generator. It would’ve been fine if it was just me but I had my 86yo dad with me.

This property was fantastic in terms of its location and size. We were right in the heart of Old San Juan and couldn't have asked for more in terms of the kitchen & living space, two bedrooms, and two giant (and freshly remodeled) bathrooms. The quirks about this place were manageable but could be improved: finding the specific apartment in the building was tricky as there are no staff on site and we didn't see a single other guest. The staff were responsive via email and phone but why are there two units in the building with the same number? Very confusing. Also, there's no parking so best to get your rental car before or after your stay here. A few things in the apartment itself could use small improvements: shower faucet handle wasn't secured to the wall, missing smoke alarm in a bedroom, 3 wall AC units with three different unlabeled remotes all left on the table; took us a while to figure out which one operated which unit and then realized one had dead batteries so had to keep switching the batteries out depending on what unit we needed to work. None of these things would keep us from staying again -- we definitely would bc the good definitely outweighs the "needs improvement." But with those tiny improvements this place would get 5 stars in every category!
