old but cozy property

The hotel is an old building but has the minimum equipment: moderate speed wifi and airconditioner, but no fridge. The check-in process was a bit messy. Because my flight arrived at about midnight, the hotel had requested me to call the sister hotel in advance. However, when I arrived at the hotel, there was nobody and I could not get into the hotel. So I walked to the sister hotel and got the key around 1:30 am.

Because we arrived late, it took some time for attendant to come check us in and give us keys. We lost one night of our 3 night stay due to airline. Bath area had leaky fixture. Room was fine and had a/c.

By far the worst hotel I’ve been to. The hotel was under construction and the whole place was filled with dust, which exacerbated my asthma. Me and my girlfriend didn’t even stay a night and had to book another hotel somewhere else. The hotel refused to refund my money even though the conditions weren’t livable. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

YES, ALL OF ABOVE. The start of our stay in Casa del Carribe: Front gate & building was open and no-one in sight. It looked like an abandoned building. Everything looked disarray & neglected. Remants of rugs in hallway. Paint on floors, smelled like mold and very musty. Fallen leaves were everywhere. We lost power 3 nights in a row. Plus we have pictures & videos to collaborate all the above. We called the main number on our first night of power outage & we were told that there was nothing that they can do- we asked about a generator that we heard working but no power to the room only for emergency lights . Without power the rooms became hot & humid without ac. We were told to wait it out. The place was under construction & it's being done poorly. The bathroom floor full of grout, the plate was missing from the hot/cold handle so you can see into the other rooms bathroom. I can see the workers & hear them working in the other room. It was very uncomfortable. My husband looked up the facility to see what the advertisement was, at no point in the advertisement did they say the facility was under renovation. When somebody came from the other facility to let us into our room, the first thing out of their mouth was, Nobody told you we were under renovation, we said no. The pictures on the advertisement were from at least 15 years ago. When the place was pristine and that's what we've made our judgment on unfortunately, this place chose making money over being honest.

Nice little boutique hotel near everything you could possibly need. The hotel is nothing fancy but it met all of our needs. The location is prime. Ana at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again

There was nobody at the property to check me in when I arrived and waited for and hour. To find somebody you had to go to a different property, with luggage, and back you the property you booked. The room was full of mosquitos. For days tv did not work because of remote control problems - I had to go to a”the different property repeatedly to summon somebody to fix it. The building is undergoing renovation, the room’s renovation was not finished, it was just partially ready. The toilet was not properly attached and moved under you. In the shower the water stood and did not go into the drain because of wrongly laid tile. A generator at the neighboring property roared starting at 6 in the morning so it was impossible to sleep. I am pretty sure there were bats in the roof: I heard pretty loud noises characteristic of bat infestation which did not allow to sleep. It was cheap though, great location and Eddie , an administrator, came from the other property and tried to fix things.

room was small with no amenities, no iron I had to buy my own at Walmart, no microwave, front desk had to switch my room because tv didn't work and toilet was clogged with no soap or shampoo available. front desk Anna was great helping out. that's what the 3 stars are for.

Staff was nice and Daniel was friendly but room was horrendous! There was a closet with no doors or rod to hang clothes so, no where to hang clothes. No dresser so, no where to put clothes. No hooks in bathrooms either so, no where to hang robes. There was a brand new tv but, not registered so tv was inoperable too! No where to put your suitcase and the safe was dirty and dingy and did not look like it was safe either. Was very run down. In desperate need of a face lift. Only positive is was close to restaurant and beach. Thank God we stayed there just for one night. I hate to do reviews like this but can’t help but to help others to know what they are getting themselves into if you book here. I know I would want to spare myself the misery.
