Awesome Stay

The location was not that great and the outside premises isnt that impressive. But once you get inside , it is where the transformation begins. The property has a beach/ resort vibe. We stayed in the sanctuary and the interior is amazing. It has everything that you need for your stay. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathrooms are huge. The lay out of the bedrooms are well thought of. It has a space for everything without feeling cramped. The host was very accommodating to our requests. Overall he was easy to deal with..

Perfect for Family Reunion

We had a great time staying at the Modern Surf Loft. Plenty of space for 4 couples plus 9 kids age 2-14. With 6 bedrooms, each couple had their privacy and the older kids had rooms to split the girls and boys. With gated parking right next to our house, we didn’t run into any other guests. They had some shared spaces but we were busy going to the beach (within 15-30 minute drives depending on the beach) and out for ice cream so we didn’t visit those areas. Josh was a great host and quick to respond. We’ll definitely consider staying again if we do another family trip to San Diego!

The absolute most amazing location for large groups

We were a soccer group of players and families that were in San Diego for a large soccer event. We hosted Thanksgiving and had a feast. The kitchen was stocked like a commercial restaurant and was absolutely amazing. We had a bigger feast than any buffet you’ve been too and it was perfect. The space(s) are amazing. Comfortable and unique. We had corn hole tournaments in the common area, grilled steaks one night, played pool and man the location was awesome. We could walk to a corner market for most needs, the boys could walk to Taco Bell, seriously we loved it so much. We rented 5 spaces and I really would give this 10 stars if I could.

Great house with LOTS of beds!

We stayed with a group of 13 and each had our own bed! The location is convenient to so many things in San Diego - it didn't take long at all to get to all the places we wanted to go. The neighborhood isn't anything from a postcard, but we felt safe and again the convenience of the location is worth a lot. Communication with the host was wonderful except for the night we were checking in. We needed a little clearer instructions on how to get into the compound but weren't able to reach the host. We did eventually figure it out though. Our host was available the rest of our stay and brought extra trash bags and even worked out the dishwasher for us! If you're looking for a very clean, convenient location with lots of beds for your group, I would recommend this place!

Bachelor Party

I had 23 of my friends down for a bachelor party. The place was absolutely incredible; it worked so well for us. Amazing and really nice host, the place made it a perfect weekend for us. Thanks Joshua!
