This is one of the best locations in San Diego we are within walking distance to the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and many other attractions this city has to offer. Our home has been completely updated and made comfortable for groups up to 6 people. We love being a part of our wonderful AirBnB community and welcome all outstanding members from all different backgrounds. Hillcrest is a neighborhood in San Diego located northwest of Balboa Park. It is an accepting urban village with a small town feel. Hillcrest is known for its tolerance, diversity and locally-owned businesses including eclectic restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and boutique shopping. It is also known for its salons and spas, medical offices, two major hospitals and the largest concentration of LGBTQ+ owned businesses in the city.

Balboa Park is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego

Being in the heart of the city, Balboa Park and Hillcrest are accessible by a number of major streets. Additionally, Hillcrest is among the most walkable neighborhoods in San Diego with a neighborhood Walk Score of 87. Rideshare is easily accessible. Many Bird scooters and bikes nearby.

Pet friendly, $99 per stay!
No smoking, loud music or parties. We do accept pets but it is important to pickup after them on a daily basis. Also, there will be an additional one time charge of $99 for pet cleaning.

Nice, well kept and clean property in a beautiful neighborhood near Balboa Park ( 15-20 min walk to the zoo ). Free parking and central location make this apt an excellent choice when visiting San Diego. The owner is very responsive and the unit has everything you'll need.

I know you've already read this, but yes, it's clean, which I appreciate. Guests were my husband and me and our adult son, his wife, and their 4 year old daughter. Being close to Balboa Park definitely a perk, and we were an Uber ride away from family. The treats and drinks are a nice touch (thank you!). We were mostly there in the morning and evening to sleep, and it was very comfortable and quiet. Hard to believe we were in a multi-unit building. Thanks for your responsiveness when we had a question about how to work the AC. Little did we know that would be the only time we would use it - San Diego had a little burst of winter while we were there. Great spot, imho best for 4 guests (the single bathroom would get crowded).

We had a wonderful stay at the Beautiful Hillcrest Canyon View property! The location was perfect — walking distance to Balboa Park and close to the San Diego Zoo, which made it very convenient for our trip. The property was extremely clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The check-in process was smooth and easy, with clear instructions provided ahead of time. Overall, we had a five-star experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting San Diego. Thank you for a great stay!

My family had a great time visiting the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park which was so close to this home. We could easily take a zoo break and eat lunch at home, picking up food from a selection of so many nearby restaurants. Grocery shopping was also easy with several local choices within 10 minutes. Host was quick to respond to questions and provided helpful snacks and drinks for when we didn’t have time the first night to shop yet.

we had a great time staying here. it's a quiet neighborhood and in walking distance of coffee shops, grocery stores and restaurants. the zoo and park are nearby. the stairs are steep and the screen door opens towards them which requires you to take care so as not to fall. beds are comfortable and.couch is comfy for sleeping

Clean property, great location for Balboa Park/Zoo, super convenient parking, easy check in, safe and quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurant options. Some furniture swapped out from the listing photos.. hosts are free to do that and I think there is even a disclaimer about it so that isn’t a complaint, just awareness. Host was very attentive! Loved the supply of coffee and snacks. Kitchen has good quality cookware, need one or two serving bowls or a mixing bowl. Bed’s comfortable. We enjoyed the upstairs patio for morning coffee and watching squirrels and birds. Overall great place.
