「Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time. The property itself is filthy - the room was just about liveable for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets. It feels more like a bedsit or HMO than proper guest accommodation. The rooms smell strongly of mould and...

「部屋はきれいに管理されていると思いますが、3泊の宿泊中、部屋の床は掃除機をかけられていなかったように思います。またバスタオルは日本でよく使われているサイズの2倍の大きなバスタオルが備えられていましたか、フェイスタオルはありませんでした。私は自分のタオルを念のために持参していましたので大丈夫でしたが、女性は特にフェイスタオルもほしいと感じるのではないでしょうか？ また、部屋には「電気をつけっぱなしにしないでください」など、「〜しないでください」の注意書きがいくつも壁に貼られていて、中には常識外れの行動をする宿泊者もいるのかもしれませんが、いくつもの注意書きがあるのは少し窮屈に感じました。 オーナーの女性は親切でした。」

「英語がほとんど話せない私でも大事に扱ってくださったやさしいご主人。もっと会話ができると更に楽しかったのだろうけれど…。 サッカー観戦で訪れましたがスタジアムまで徒歩３０分位でしょうか。 日本人の感覚だと床のカーペットが気になりますが外国ではこれくらいが常識なのかな。 小さいけれどシャワー室があり、シャワーが上下に移動できるのですごく良かった。 お部屋は小さめですが女子の私には気にならず、快適に過ごせました。とてもアットホームで朝食はご主人の手作り卵料理が食べられます。あまり近くをウロウロしなかったので近所のSHOP情報は不明です。」

「Another wonderful stay , the hotel is so beautifully decorated clean and owners so friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning is amazing with a fantastic choice cooked to order. The lady serving this is a treasure and can’t do enough for you. Will be back again to this amazing hotel by the sea .」

「Booked on the day and confirmation came through. On arrival at the property I hadn’t received the access code. After several phone calls and a chat with a Virtual Assistant. It transpired that the room was occupied. Expedia when contacted apologised and said It would be resolved in the next 72 hours.Thiis is of no help when you need a room at the time VERY DISAPPOINTING. Still awaiting resolution and refund」

「I paid £26 for the night, and felt like I overpaid. Advertisement pictures are false. Maybe that room looked like this, once. Not any more. Stains on the walls, stank of cigarettes. Bed looked like it's been slept in already. No towels provided. There was a kettle and some tea in the room, but no cups to make it in. Shared toilet and bathroom, dirty, no soap, no shampoo. Tried to raise issues with the property, but there was no answer on the phone number provided, and no reply via messages on...

The host was completely unreachable and ignored all our calls and messages. We were left stranded without a place to sleep. Very unprofessional and unreliable.」

「First of all, there was no staff or anyone to welcome you. We reserved a room with a private bath, and when we arrived we had been assigned a different room with no private bathroom. The shared bathroom available was filthy and the linoleum was coming off the floor. The bedroom was dirty as well and the beds were like cots, horrible mattresses. We tried to reach property owner with no avail. They never responded to any of our inquiries. Within 15 mins, we booked a room at local hotel and left...

「I was the worst place I've been to. I could not get into the room. I took over an hour to before someone made contact but I still couldn't get into the room. The bathrooms were dirty and chairs were broken and the were empty bottles in the corridors. I would not recommend anyone stay here.」
