"We had a terrific stay at Patrice and Armelle's Gite. The hosts have large hearts and gave us a whole basket full of excellent local nuts. We were welcomed very warmly and kindly although we arrived late and Armelle helped us with all that we needed, including the rental and application of bedsheets. There were some mice running about and we did find droppings in the bed, although the house was otherwise very clean and well appointed. We would have liked some coffee left in the cabinet at least for the first morning and the bedroom could use some hooks for clothes or coats. "When Mieke welcomed us, we felt immediately at home she couldn't have done more to make us feel at home and this continued through the week, checking on us and providing us with cooling fans, advice on places to see and anything else we needed. The property rustic with huge amount of character. It is in a very rural quiet setting but within an easy drive of places of interest in the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. Would definitely recommend if traditional is what you are after."

"Our family of 4 (+dog) had a lovely couple of weeks in this beautiful & tranquil spot. Perfect pool and terrace for relaxing in the sun … and the surrounding area provides so much to see and do from markets to caves to castles to canoeing! Humphrey the spaniel loved his early morning walks right from our doorstep - with spectacular views of this glorious part of the Perigord! A wonderful stay, so thanks to Mathilde."

"The property was ideal for us, great enclosed garden for our dog. Kathy was very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is quite rustic which is reflected in the price. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone with a dog. Very close to Sarlat which is beautiful . A short walk up the hill brought us to a lovely village and church which was beautiful.Follow the yellow signs in the village for a lovely circular walk back to the property via a bar, shop and cafe."

"If a little piece of French countryside is what you are looking for then this is place is for you. We enjoyed our stay though did not utilize the property to its full potential. We used this as a base to visit the caves and tour the surrounding area. Unfortunately we did not have the time to just relax here. Next time. Jacqueline was awesome. We would recommend."
