3. Timberline Mountain (distance from house - 1 hour 15 mins): A popular ski resort and outdoor recreation destination located in Davis, West Virginia, within the Canaan Valley region. It is known for its excellent skiing and snowboarding opportunities, as well as its beautiful mountainous setting in the Monongahela National Forest.
