As a frequent VRBO renter, I believe you generally get what you pay for, and this property is no different. With that in mind, a few perks and considerations with this one.
What you get:
— great location just down the street from the Spanish Steps
— large, spacious bedrooms with great natural light when shutters are open
— easy check-in process and good communication in advance.
— wide, easy stairs to the second floor
— plenty of kitchen equipment if you need it (we always use the kitchens due to a teenager with allergies)
— warmed up quickly when we adjusted the heat
Some considerations:
— This is a busy street and can be noisy at night. Perfect if you want to be part of the action, but something to know if you are a light sleeper.
— There are no extra supplies. Bedding and towels were fine, but we had a single roll of bathroom tissue, no facial tissues, no washcloths. Bought TP and Kleenex.
— No dishwasher, which I don’t mind. But there was only a single over-used sponge for washing dishes. Bought a sponge.
— Also there’s only one small garbage can in the property, located in the kitchen. Seems like such a small thing, but really inconvenient when you need it.
As mentioned in other reviews, cleaning fees and tourist taxes have to be paid in cash at check-in.
Also- please note that the nearest metro station (Barberini) is under construction right now, so you have to use Spagna, which is also quite close.
