「The food and drink was fantastic. The staff very helpful and their pub experience great! I wish we had more time allocated to experience this lovely part of the country. Also the cab service was fantastic and very flexible. 」

「Lovely hotel, our room was great and breakfast fantastic. Didn’t use the pool, fitness centre or spa so can’t comment but they looked nice. Did do a 7km walk run on one of the recommended routes around the hotel which was very scenic. We’ll definitely return when the build is finished and new restaurant is open.」
「Great place to stay if you prefer a less corporate style hotel. Room ( Lady Amelia) was spotlessly clean with a v comfortable bed, large bathroom and balcony with a great view. Hosts are v friendly and v attentive. Great service- friendly and personal.」
「Was greated by a nice young welcoming guy. He was friendly and attentive. Settled in micely in a good room, nice walk in shower. Shower couldve been a bit more powerful, but wasgood enough.
The bar was nice though felt a bit chilly and there was lingering musky smell... beer was kept in good conditions and a nice cider. Food was lovely and nicely cooked.
Breakfast was delicious with plenty of coffee and lots of orange juice.
Would recommend this place.」
「Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.」

「We loved this property. The owners obviously have an eye for decor as it is a really stylish place and beautifully finished. We loved how peaceful the property was and the owners had thought of everything . We really appreciated the tea, coffee and milk after a 5 hour drive and the muffins, biscuits and crisps were a lovely touch. All the information you needed was in a folder and we visited lots of the places recommenced in it. It’s a fantastic property and we hope to stay there again.」
