"Incredibly convenient for overnight layover"
Hotel Tiber Rooftop & Wellness
8/10 Good
"This was a nice clean hotel. My only complaint - there were charges for every single amenity It seemed. If you wanted to swim in the pool, you have to wear a bathing cap which they sold for 3 euros per person (6eu for 2). If you wanted a towel to take with you to the pool, that was an additional 3 euros per person (6eu for 2). If you want to use the scale in the lobby to weigh your suitcase, they charge for that also. There was an additional charge for safe parking underneath the hotel as well. In short, we were not thrilled to discover being charged for small minor amenities that it my opinion should be included. In my opinion, this small detail should’ve been included in the confirmation email I received. I received more than two messages from the hotel directly, but none of them ever mentioned any of these additional charges. Of course my fault for not thinking to ask them if the scale in the lobby was complementary. something that would be nice to be clear about before arriving. Also, the swimming pool on the roof is very small with very little space to relax. So do not plan on a relaxing swimming pool experience. It was crowded with lots of children and again no place to really sit and get comfortable. We were offered a complementary drink at check-in, which at first seemed very hospitable and welcoming. When we went to the bar to get the drink, we were offered a water down spritzer or a water down juice. Not a drink of our choice. Felt like bait and switch."
