The property is set on a hill with beautiful views of the lake. The hotel is decorated quite tastefully.
Only improvement i would recommend is the food offered at the hotel.
I made a last minute decision to book this last minute so that i could be closer to the airport for the next day departure, post 10 days in Tuscany.
Really a great find.
Loved the outdoor pool and the room. Bed was the most comfortable of my entire trip which was so appreciated before flights back and lots of travel,
Hot tub on the roof could use a new cover and some maintenance. Did not use. However, the balcony view was really lovely.
Overall a great stay and would use again!
Had a wonderful time during my stay at Vigna Caio. The staff was just lovely, the views and location are excellent, and the food is delicious! The entire complex is manicured and spotless. Wish I had time to stay for more than one night!
I had a wonderful one-night stay at Vigna Caio! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the beautifully maintained grounds and the breathtaking views overlooking the lake. The property itself is stunning, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind.
After a quick and seamless check-in, I enjoyed a delicious lunch on-site. The staff also went above and beyond by accommodating a last-minute same-day massage, which was absolutely worth it. Lydia was fantastic and made the experience truly memorable.
The villa is conveniently located just a short distance from both the charming town of Bracciano and the lakeside, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Every member of the staff was warm, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay.
This certainly won’t be my last visit. I’m so glad I discovered this hidden gem, and it was a pleasure meeting the owners, whose pride and dedication are evident in every detail of this beautiful property.
Beautiful boutique hotel in a very nice area just outside of Rome. Walkable to the historic ruins and shopping/restaurants nearby, along with the clear fresh water lake. Many outdoor activities nearby as well, highly recommend the hike to the waterfall. Will be back to this hotel if we return to the area.
Gorgeous property with amazing views! The spa and massages were wonderful! So peaceful and relaxing. We decided to stay an extra night because we enjoyed it so much!
We flew into Rome and wanted a couple of quiet days before going on a cruise, this hotel was in an excellent location to experience that, peaceful, beautiful views of the lake and the staff were super helpful. It is well worth a trip to relax, unwind and enjoy good food and wine, what Italy is all about !!
All the personnel were very helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable, very clean and spacious.
The location is spectacular (only 50 minutes from FCO), within walking distance from town yet quiet and surrounded by nature. The Lake Bracciano view alone, is worth the visit!
We had the most relaxing 3 days. The resort is absolutely gorgeous! The staff could not have been more accommodating. Within walking distance to the town of Bracchiano. Really enjoyed the spa and the overall vibe. Looking forward to returning.
Location privileged. The entire location is gorgeous of a view of a lake and castle. Everything immaculate. Great staff. Great restaurant.
I suggest they place a caddy in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, soap.
This was an amazing retreat in every aspect!! The hotel is new and really tastefully designed. the scenery is beautiful, overlooking lake Bracciano and has the castle looming over the hotel. The staff were all incredibly friendly and struck a perfect balance of being attentive but not intrusive. whether it was dietary requirements or transport, they took care of you graciously. would definitely stay again!
This was exceptional. I highly recommend it. The only negative was we found it difficult to find the entrance to the property. Google maps took us to the wrong road and we had to ask for help on how to get there. Perhaps a detailed description of how to enter the property. Other than that, our staff was absolutely wonderful. We would definitely go again.
Gorgeous boutique hotel with only 15 rooms. My room was spotless and beautifully decorated and had a sunny terrace large enough to dine and lounge on. The hotel has wonderful lounge areas and sunny breakfast patios. The grounds are full of lush florals and beautiful landscaping, and a wonderful view of Lake Bracciano… Perfect place to rest and relax.
But the real shine is the service. Cinzia went above and beyond to make my stay easy and comfortable and even drove me to the train station. The whole staff were wonderful and helpful.
The only thing I’d ask is to add lights to the pathway leading to the hotel. To reach the restaurants uphill or the beaches downhill, there is a long stretch of road covered by trees. When you’re returning to the hotel at night on foot, you’re walking in the pitch black. Especially for a woman solo traveler, it could use improvement.
Lovely hotel with a fab view and wonderful, great value restaurant. We had a welcome upgrade to a lake view room which was clean and had a large bed and good shower. Breakfast was a decent continental spread (although the gluten free options were inferior quality) Great transfer arranged from the airport with courteous driver.
Service was usually good but when a large group entered the restaurant we were then relegated in importance and ignored for long periods.
The bar and reception are close to the stairs and it being an old building the noise carried to our room when the large party partied until 2am. We could also hear every reception conversation.
Light pollution in the room from the TV and the telephone (which lit up when reception were on a call!!) was bad so bring a mask as well as ear plugs.
The town is a tough, uphill walk which means the less mobile need a car. The castle is fabulous but bar a couple of lovely streets it is scruffy and tired. Few bars are inviting for tourists. The railway station is further uphill and buses are not very regular so best to come when the small ferry runs in the summer if you want to visit the other two lake towns.
