"The room was good , clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we had a security incident where someone managed to open our room door in the middle of the night . Luckily I had my dog who I think gave the person a fright. I tried to explain to reception in the morning but no one speaks English . I then sent a follow up email in German and English which they took days to reply to and then just said the night staff needed more training . It was a very scary experience which I didn’t feel the took on...

"Stopped off in Magdeburg on my way to Berlin and opted for Mercure hotel. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Room was clean, comfortable and had good WiFi coverage. Bike friendly, which was a bonus. Would happily use again"
