"We enjoyed our visit to Galena. Cute town and beautiful area. We had a few issues with our town house. The ice maker did not work and the couches were not very comfortable. This is the very first VRBO that did not provide a hair dryer. The shower upstairs was small and the downstairs bedroom did not have a closet. I would not recommend the unit for older people due to the steep stairs. It was a challenge to haul our suitcases up and down."

"We stayed over Memorial Day weekend for fishing and visiting family. Easy check in/out. Great communication from host. Cottage was very cozy, comfortable beds, plenty of firewood, variety of kitchen appliances for preparing meals, washer and dryer. Enjoyable sitting porch with lights. Fire pit area very enjoyable, love the swing. All around great stay for our trip. We would love to return this summer for another weekend! Thank you! The Heinlein Family"

"This is a well-maintained home and very clean! Perfect size for 7 adults. We loved the quiet area and especially enjoyed the screened in deck. You won’t be disappointed! Hannah was very responsive prior to check in. Great experience."

"Perfect home away from home for a few days. Was pleasantly surprised that the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with necessities and extras. Everything was well marked and there was easy to understand directions for everything (owners club passes, thermostat, hot tub etc). Wish we stayed longer, we didn't have enough time to use the sitting area on the upper deck with the fire feature or the outdoor fire pit/campfire area, but they were enticing and will definitely use next time. Helpful information for the area was handy and readily available. Very convenient location, will definitely try to stay with these owners again, either at this property or one of the others."

"We were allowed to check in early, which we appreciated; however, no one had rented the unit for weeks before us so even though it had been cleaned after the last guests we found dead stink bugs and beetle ladybugs on the couch, the carpet, the counter tops etc. The grill was not clean and the stovetop must have been wiped down with a dirty rag. When we raised concerns we were told that since we checked in 2 hours early proper cleaning was not complete, which makes no sense, no one was there cleaning the day we checked in! After we swept the kitchen and vacuumed the living room our stay was fine (the owner did offer to come and vacuum and clean the grill but we were on vacation so that would have been awkward)On the positive side, the bathroom downstairs was very clean but the jets in the tub are discolored so no. There were a lot of nice touches left for guests, soaps, wine, snacks, and plenty of firewood. The living room was very comfortable after we swept and vacuumed. We did ask for a refund of the cleaning fee which was refused, we did not ask for anything more than that so this isn't someone just looking for something for free, just an honest review"
