We stayed in the penthouse apartment. The room was clean and stylish. The heated bathroom floor was a dream! But the best aspect of Ice Apartments was its location - right in the downtown area, literally steps away from great shopping, restaurants, and nightlife and 2 blocks from the bus stop to all excursions.

5泊滞在する為、初めて海外のアパートメントを利用しました。お部屋はとてもきれいで、食器洗い機や洗濯機もあり、食器や簡単な調理器具が揃っており、長期滞在にはとても便利です。タオルの補充もあります。 洗濯干しの為のタオル掛けがあったことが、とても助かりました。コーヒーの粉や砂糖、塩胡椒などもありましたが、いつ開封したものか分からないので、私は使いませんでした。 部屋の設備などは、案内サイトに説明があるのですが、その説明が簡潔すぎて困ることがありました。例えば、異国の洗濯機は表示形式が理解できないのですが、案内サイトの写真に全ての説明があるわけではありません。その点が困りました。 また、スタッフには一度も会うことはなく、質問があればチャットでやり取りをします。 チェックインや最初の解錠方法などは、案内サイトに掲載されていますが、現地に行くとWifiが使えないこともあるので、印刷して持って行くことをお勧めします。 便利な商店街のすぐ近くに立地している為、買い物に不自由はありませんし治安も良いのですが、年末年始だったからか、夜中に騒ぐ声がたまに聞こえてきました。

I would have been 5 stars if we didn't have a problem entering the building. The keycode sent to us was correct but the door lock was sticking due to a loose screw and we were having a hard time opening the door for 15+ minutes. We reported the issue on Saturday morning and after exchanging several chat messages with support personnel, we managed to pull the door open, but were affraid to close it again, so we put a door mat in the doorway to prevent door from closing. Noone showed up to fix the door until Monday morning, when we were checking out. Otherwise, the apartment itself was great, clean, warm and pretty and the location is great, so absent the door issue, everything else was good.

The place was a great stay. The beds were comfortable. They supplied absolutely everything we needed. The propery guide was perfect! The area was quiet and yet close to everything. The communication was great. It was also so close to bus stop 6 and luggage lockers that it made everything so convenient. The only things that could use improvement was that the coffee machine was dirty when we arrived so we did not use it. Additionally, the door handles are very sharp and you can't really open the bedroom door all the way to keep them out of the way to avoid injury. I would suggest changing them to rounded door knobs if they're going to be in the way because the sharp handles caused bruises and cuts.

The place is walkable to the city highlights which is really great but we dislike the walkway going in out of the apartment with our luggage as the walkway is with gravel and not cemented. Also, there’s no exhaust fan in the kitchen to absorbed the smell when cooking. Surrounding is safe. It would be great for passengers arriving early there’s should be a safe luggage storage while waiting for the check in time.

Didnt like that there was no second lock on the door, a chain lock would go along way especially since my door code worked for all doors i tried, which is very concering. Bathroom door handle was falling off, door didnt fit properly had to use whole body to close / open it. Every morning at about 7am someone would open and close the exterior door allowing it to slam shut waking us up every damn time. For being a luxurious place, the bathroom smelt like pee when we got there. Only good thing was communication for check in / checkout, was very easy.

Nice Apartment in Poor Immediate Surroundings

Nicely designed unit well located yet quietly tucked away from the main drag. There were a few minor issues like a broken shade pull, empty or broken shower dispenser (random other bottled products were either provided or left behind by other guests) and a bathroom light that repeatedly turns off during the course of showering, requiring nearly stepping out repeatedly in complete darkness to activate the motion sensor/light activator (our particular sensor did not feature the on/off/auto switch on the bottom described in the online apartment guide). The biggest issue is the condition of the building’s surroundings and approach to the unit, which gives a really poor impression upon first arrival – lots of trash, random pots and other items in poor condition, weeds, and many rocks across the stairway (looks like years of accumulation) which you must navigate carefully to avoiding slipping on for a bad fall! In addition, the common trash bins are quite nasty and nearby graffiti and other negatives give an unsafe impression. One guest was overheard saying he hoped their car was still there in the morning.

Amazing location. Can walk to all main Reykjavík attractions 20 minutes. Restaurants and shops on doorstep. Parking relatively easy to find. Main frustration was the outside noise on Friday and Saturday nights, and the auto light switch off in bathroom. Very hard to shower and without light turning off multiple times.
