We enjoyed the museum a lot, the parks are kept beautifully, the city was clean and safe. We did not venture into the outskirts to the 'newer' areas of city sprawl, but what we saw of the historic area was wonderful.

I have visited Queretaro many times and, although it has many of the older historical features commonly found around Mexico, I think the city has a lively, modern atmosphere all it's own.

Beautiful historic center. City overall growing faster than its infrastructure can handle, but there are a number of upgrades in the works. So eventually, it will become more of a Monterrey than a San Luis Potosi.
