Snowdonia Mountain Lodge

"We had a great stay at snowdonia mountain lodge! Awesome location for hiking and exploring Wales. Clean room, friendly staff and a unique atmosphere. We cooked our own dinner in the common kitchen and enjoyed a walk directly from the lodge. I highly recommend this place for those looking to get off the beaten path!"

"Had a classic double room overlooking the car park so able to unlock car from window without having to go down for family members to pack/unpack items. Lovely quiet room, spacious, fantastic bed very comfortable and spacious ensuite. I did struggle with the door knob and also turning the shower on as getting arthritis in my fingers. Loved the bathmat, grab rails and easy taps on the sink. Could have done with a lighter duvet as very warm. Breakfast each morning was amazing and managed to sit in the conservatory bit on one morning. Ate in the Restaurant first night but husband found his lamb a bit chewy and cooked rare. Daughter ordered Gnocchi and meal was very small portion, she ended up having some of my seabass which was great. Puddings were lovely but quite pricey. Second night ate in the bar instead and enjoyed meals much more, steak and ale pie, beef burger and char grilled chicken which they cooked for me (not in the garlic butter sauce). Meals came very quickly and again different puddings but pricey. £100 each night for 3 adults without the cost of drinks. Great location though for Snowdon, two walked up and I got last ticket for the train. Amazing views from the window too of mountains. I would recommend."

"We had the most wonderful stay. The property is situated just a small, enjoyable walk away from Llanberis. Amy and James were amazing hosts, always showing interest and being super helpful with their knowledge of the local attractions. Breakfast was amazing, the porridge proved great fuel for the Snowdon climb. The room was clean, comfy and had its own personality. Thoroughly recommend to anyone interested in completing Snowdon and travelling around North Wales."

"Peacefully located and comfortable, clean annexe with superb views over Llanberis and surrounding Snowdonia mountains and a welcoming and friendly owner. I especially enjoyed the local walk from the property through Padarn country park to Dolbadarn castle and back through the fascinating mining history remains; plus the walk out at Newborough sands on Anglesey and the owner's superb homemade Bara Brith on arrival! "

"Great location, though a bit confusing to find the last mile or two (very rural and no signs), and not clear where to park because cabin is behind two closed gates on heavily forested roads. The cabin was very nice and we slept well. Gorgeous spot and convenient to ride the Snowden train. We would stay there again."

"What an outstanding place to stay. It’s location is stunning, views down over the lake and towards the imposing Snowdon range, chickens and sheep wandering around freely in the field in front of you and close enough to things to be handy, but far enough away to relax and be isolated.The house itself was spotless, had everything we needed as a family, it was beautifully decorated, carefully thought out and had some wonderful extras that we just weren't expecting. It far surpassed our expectations The owners were fabulous and live nearby if there were any issues, couldn’t ask for more Will not hesitate to come back, already shared it with our friends and family."
