Quiet tucked away

"An immaculate upside-down house giving amazing picture views from each window. A fabulous sea view from the lounges large sliding door with Juliet balcony, allowing us to listen to the waves. Also, views of the downs & valley from side and rear of the property. The Hot Tub was perfectly positioned at the rear to enjoy the scenery.We saw lots of wildlife in the large back garden area including morning visits from a woodpecker and a red deer running through.The property is situated in a peaceful location, just a short walk to the beaches and the villages of Woolacombe and Mortehoe.It was great to meet the host Johnny who was lovely and friendly, he gave us lots of advice on the area and good walking ideas of the coastal routes and across the downs. Thank you Johnny for letting us stay at your lovely property, we didn't want to leave after a fantastic week and we hope to be back in the near future."

Croyde Bay Holiday Resort

"We recently stayed at Croyde Bay, and our family room offered everything we needed, including a fridge, alongside all the usual essentials like an ironing board, hairdryer, and kettle. There was even an extra heater and a fan provided if needed. It was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The facilities were perfect for our family. The swimming pool area was warm, clean, and well-maintained, complete with tidy changing rooms, sun loungers, a sauna, steam room, and hot tub. While we didn't use the gym, it looked amazing. Outside, the grounds and gardens were beautifully kept, and the outdoor play area, activities, and arcades kept the family thoroughly entertained. It was fantastic being so close to the beach; I just wish we had chosen a week with better weather! The buffet breakfast offered everything you could possibly want, nicely cooked and presented, with particularly amazing poached eggs! Dinner was equally good, and I highly recommend the chorizo and honey pizza. Above all, every member of staff we interacted with was remarkably friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The only drawback occurred on our final night when some teenagers were running through the corridors banging doors. While not ideal in general, it was made worse when it woke and frightened our four-year-old, leaving us struggling to get him back to sleep. Despite that, it was a fantastic stay, and we are already looking at when we can return!"

"Thought it was a lovely chalet with views of the sea and very convenient for the entertainment centre and close to very nice bush walk. Very grateful when the owner let us know we had left behind a small bag so we could return and pick it up."

"We loved the friendly, open hearted staff. Our room was comfortable, and there was a lovely separate lounge with great views onto the sea. À nice little piano was sitting in there too, but it needs some TLC and à tune!"

"Gorgeous property and was very clean and tidy. My grandchildren absolutely loved the rope swing in the garden.We were lucky enough to be there for the solar eclipse and we had a spectacular view from the coast which was within walking distance. Brilliant for walking along the costal path but for us, the location is a little too remote and driving to visit some of the sites in Cornwall took a bit longer than we would have liked."
