"While Painter's Lodge comes with a lot of hoopla, it didn't live up to its billing. Very loud neighbours. Tried to call the front desk, phones weren't working. Had to get out of bed at 2 am to go discuss my concerns. They weren't addressed at the time. After the stay received a 50% discount. Too little too late. Unfortunately, will choose elsewhere in the future."

"First of all there was no elevator to get to the room and my wife is disable she had to climb stairs. Also when we woke up to have a shower there was no hot water available. Parking was poor. I would not stay here again. "

"Bed was comfortable and the floors seemed cleaned. I used to always go to this hotel many many years ago and it was so pristine and tidy. This time it kind of has a hostel vibe. This once beautiful boutique hotel is looking pretty rough and will not be going back. Such a shame because it right across from the water and in such a beautiful spot. My room was right beside a fire door that kept on opening and closing - which felt like all night - so quite noisy. .got underground parking which was nice. The free breakfast that was served look nice - but I didn't eat anything. Check in and check out was uneventful. "
