Incredible staff, but Preferred Suite and pool are severely neglected. ​We were incredibly disappointed with our Preferred Suite, especially paying premium rates. The room requires a massive update and deep clean. The fan and AC vent made a frustrating amount of noise, the ceiling was noticeably cracked, the hanging light fixture was rusted and corroded, the furniture was chipped and beaten up, and the bathroom door was covered in filthy streaks with rusted hinges. ​The neglect extends right out to the pool area, which looks incredibly cheap and sloppy. There is pink and orange paint overspray splattered all over the deck tiles, the stone walkway is dirty and stained, and the blue pool coping tiles are cracked and separating. We didn't request a room change because we spoke to two other couples dealing with the exact same maintenance issues, and we didn't want the hassle of moving just to get more of the same. ​As for the rest of the resort: The restaurants were okay. Bordeaux and Gohan were good options, but Oceana really lacked flavor and proper seasoning. The saving grace was the staff—absolutely amazing, prepared to assist with any request, and easily the best part of our entire stay. However, unless you can be guaranteed a fully renovated room, it is hard to justify the price for the current conditions.

I have stayed at secretes Cozumel several times. The group I was with switched it up this year and went to dreams. It was great. Same great service from resort.
