"I’ve stayed in worse places. My room was worn/old but clean. The heat/ac never stopped running. It would just get very very hot and then very very cold. I’m not sure why I expected the ice maker to work, since there was no ice bucket in my room. The woman that runs check-in is as bad as the reviews make her out to be. She told me if there were problems with the room, that I couldn’t get any money back because I already got a good deal (my rate was ~40 USD a night), and that rooms were going for $300 a night. This was a 40 dollar motel. If I’d have spent 300, I’d have been pissed. Keep an eye on your card statement - I was charged a $100 deposit; and it wasn’t refunded until I called about it over a week later. "

"The temperature is hard to regulate with the window heater and several buttons don't appear to work but it is quite loud and difficult to sleep between that and the extra firm bed that was not comfortable. It almost was like sleeping on a hill of sand with really ice sheets and pillows. The decor is so cute and clean a bit dusty on the plant but not a big deal. Although I didn't buy any alcohol there is a cop doing sobriety checks around the corner that did pull me over last night for driving into the back parking lot but I was sober and nothing happened. The place is obviously in the local radar tho! I'd wished I had tried this place last year and figured out if they have softer beds in other rooms because it leaves the competition in the dust! The oatmeal bar was pretty sweet too!"

"$10 charge per night for parking. Need a special card to turn the power on in your room. No trash bags in garbage cans which seems like a terrible idea for a hotel with a kitchen. "
